But to be honest, I understand, no one would be interested in a worse rehash of an awful album without some controversy involving the biggest pop star of the century. They have to bring somehow attention to this album, especially since, one week until release, the hype is nonexistent.

I like Taylor much more than Olivia but to be honest I feel bad for her, there's no reason why she should give her 50% of the royalties because of "inspiration".

 

Every artist gets inspired by their peers/other artists/sources but you don't see them splitting the money, I know it's their jobs we're talking about and it's business but it feels so greedy, this is still art and something that happened naturally, Olivia was naive to publicly say where the inspiration came from because otherwise no one would've noticed. Taylor has been such an advocate for artists rights when she was in bad waters and then this happens? It makes everything feels disingenuous, she started young too I'm sure she was inspired by her idols too back then. 

 

Also I don't think Vampire is about Taylor, she kind of denied that by saying "I was surprised when people said that".
