It is funny that some of the more success stans who bandwagon'd onto Taylor are the first to talk about publishing percentages as some inherent truth of who contributed what to a song and yet we have here her and Jack getting 45% of a song's publishing (Annie seems to be the additional 5% that brings it to 50%) for what clearly was not actual involvement in the song but being the source of inspiration~. It's not even something that hits you over the head nor central to Deja Vu as a song structurally, like with Ariana giving up 90% of publishing to get to sample something as recognizable as "My Favorite Things" that makes up the core of the melody and intro of "7 Rings".

This particular issue has just bothered me so much since it happened and I’m disappointed in Taylor for letting it happen. Because she knows how hurt she would’ve been in Olivia’s position. I truly hope she’s embarrassed over it because the should be.

You know dude, I'm almost 30 and I don't actively get involved in stan wars. It's simply not worth the time and energy especially when there are so many things going on in the real world that can actually impact your life. 

 

I'm a pretty big Swiftie but I also like some of Olivia's stuff. I don't really care that much about this so-called feud. 

 

You should probably take a break from this site for a bit or maybe explore other areas like Your Top Ten or the Games Section. they both offer different vibes altogether.

Yeah that’s what I think gets a lot of people. You can’t play the moral superiority card and do stuff like this. 
 

Also, Taylor is admittedly and famously petty AF. And I don’t think it was a coincidence that she had “Misery Business” of all the possible Paramore songs on her Eras pre-show playlist.
