I’m gonna write this here too. Olivia said her all-time favorite song is “Dark But Just a Game”.  This was after the credit incident had happened. The song is about meeting your idol and seeing who they really are and how fame changes those people.

A couple of lines later the writer herself mentions that Vampire and GUTS was mostly built around a relationship with an older guy (but not limited to that lyrically). 

 

Taylor and Olivia are not close at all and that’s okay. They are mostly industry “peers” and Olivia is clearly focused on becoming a different type of artist. There’s a reason she’s not pushing GUTS as much as she could and this interview enlightened that. She doesn’t see herself as a pop star at all.

This 18 year old narrative is very naive. People acting like she's just some regular 18 year old who cut a song in her bedroom after class and posted it online and got sued. 

 

Somehow, this 18 yo had a giant machinery around her that released her album in the biggest, loudest, splashiest way.
