The survey concludes that Swifties spent $1300 dollars on average and that if you extrapolate that data to the number of people attending the tour, that's $5B that went to hotels, restaurant, airplane companies and such.

Now I'm not an economist myself but if $5B in total were spent, that's $5B that boosted the economy.

By the way, the only proof he has of the source of the survey saying it was a "fun" report is himself, cause proof is nowhere to be found in his thread.

$5b in spending is not the same as a $5b 'boost to the economy'. Considering he mentions the organisation by name in the thread and provides recorded interviews with them I think we can have faith in the quotations he provides, as I'm sure they'd quickly correct him if he was lying. Unless you really think he'd risk his job over being an OTH :michael:

If you go back in this thread, you'll be able to see that the whole thread is full of Swifties attacking Beyonce, even though the OP is not mentioning her, nor is she relevant to the topic. And how many Hive members have replied? The OP is a Hive, yes. But you won't see Hive fighting in here. Now, when there is a Beyonce thread, compare how many Swifties are in those threads to how many Hive are in here.

PLEASE. A thread like this is made by a Hive (aka the fanbase that tries to hardest to go after Taylor) and you think there was no agenda here, especially when he's been trolling the whole time about wanting a "discussion" yet never actually discussing anything? Just stop already, it's beyond pathetic at this point :rip:

If you take a look at Taylor and Beyonce's base threads, you'll see really quickly which fanbase is more obsessed with hating the other pop girl. And spoiler: it's not Swifties.

Have you seen the state of journalism these days? Why do you think this guy is above being a OTH exactly? :toofunny3:

What about that TERF from the UK who wrote that disgusting article about Taylor not that long ago? She clearly wasn't worried about "losing her job" :toofunny3:

You seem to have a habit of fully misrepresenting facts and then putting them out there as if it's true. :skull: What agenda am I pushing? I am never in Taylor troll threads, I've never attacked the tour or tried to downplay any of her achievements (unlike the Swifties every time Beyoncé achieves anything). I posted this thread because I saw the tweet on my timeline and expected a discussion on it.

What I was met with was a tonne of Swifties attacking the Hive, Beyoncé, myself and the journalist and not acknowledging anything in the content of the tweets (aside from a couple of users). Me trying to encourage that conversation isn't trolling. Trolling is the 99% of comments by Swifties in this thread.

Over these last few months, this forum has seen Swifties taking an issue with every single female artist, despite their fave literally being the biggest artist on the planet. I'm unsure where this insecurity is coming from, but you need to stop lying constantly. :toofunny3:

And why would any of these companies even know about his thread, let alone bother to correct him?

And if $5B in spending is not the same as "$5B boost to the economy" then ok, that might be terminology I guess, once again I'm not an economist. But feel free to explain to me cause I fail to understand why people spending $5B on tourism doesn't mean it boosted the economy by $5B.

It's just semantics. I'm still confused at the point of this thread though. It's merely done planting the seed of doubt, I think.

I find it hilarious that this whole thing backfired, look at that OTHs latest tweet. He rushed to post it as soon as he saw Swifties calling his a** out :bibliahh:

Yeah, they never stop. And then they try to gaslight everyone by saying WE are the ones attacking Beyonce. Just shameless :toofunny3:

Wow, PR teams really will go as far as anything

Also, I can't believe people care about stuff like this, I don't understand this stan world, what's the point? It doesn't hold any significance in our lives, those are Taylor/Beyonce and their teams' achievements, not ours. It's ok to celebrate it but arguing about it? It's so pointless

OF COURSE he's doing that. When there's positive articles about Beyonce it's automatically true but when it's Taylor it's "PR" supposedly :bibliahh:

That guy is REALLY not hiding his OTH agenda at all. What an absolute clown. And people act as if he's a real source :toofunny3:

And the fun part is, the OP had no issue celebrating the same economic impact numbers in this thread when Beyoncé was involved:

I don't know why Beyonce is being brought up in this thread. Her PR isn't nearly as massive and yall know what yall are doing.

Media has been so far up Taylor's ass and her fans have used that as a pass to literally **** on Beyonce's tour at every stop and derail any positive news about her tour.

It’s always funny when the biggest haters use lingo that clearly shows they are very involved with an artist :dies:

You think journalists lose their jobs for generating clicks through inaccurate articles? Oh honey

A lot of her fans traveled to see her not only within the stadiums but standing outside of the stadiums, it is only logical she did indeed have a crazy short-term boost on local economies.  Her tour is unprecedented so naturally local economic boosts would also be unprecedented. I mean just look at the line for hours outside of Bluebird cafe in Nashville when she came there.  The coins were OUT and people love eating, hoteling, and buying merch when they travel.

Let her have this one. Not everything she does including economic impact being controversial! Her Erotica turned Econima era.

Not the revisionism please.... The Hive started acting up as soon as the pre-sales for The Eras Tour went up (iirc). The Hive in here has been chill for the most part, but the neverending shadiness on other social media platforms has been embarrassing (and SOME members of that base have adopted it for unclear reasons).

Certain artists (?) should know better when picking the info on the articles they pay to the media to publish

Since nobody read the original Twitter thread let me TL;DR this for you. QuestionPRO asked some TS fans in a survey about how much money they would spend on Eras Tour. Then they averaged the answers and multiplied that by estimated tickets sold in NA. Now, this is obvious BS but then again, it explain how they reached similar amount for Renaissance Tour. It's all grade school even statistics and flawed logic
