It'd be nice if there was some actual discussion on the findings of investigation in here, instead of the Swifties just attacking the Hive, or the journalist or myself.

I just wonder why do we actually care about these (apparently) made up numbers about both tours having an impact on economy? None of them were backed up by any of their teams and none of the teams payed for the articles written about any of the tours (unless there’s some contrary proof).

What matters is that both are being very successful and getting insane engagement online and moving people around Europe/NA/Latam/Asia just to see them.

At the end of the day, they’ll be the top 2 females when it comes to tour grossing and that should be celebrated by both fanbases.

The same thread was made for Bey and Barbie

That journalist is literally a known OTH:deadbanana4:

If hatred is what it takes for a journalist to do their job in 2023 and validate their sources then I'll take it :michael:

Please present us with so called sources too.  I would love to analyze as well

There's nothing to discuss lmao. When you find an article from a reliable and hopefully less biased source we can discuss in good faith!.. Until then, try to find a tweet with more than 1K likes!

There was no need of this thread in the FIRST PLACE

It's funny how there is a limit to pro Taylor threads you can make but anti Taylor threads have no rules and regulations

Which you have still failed to do since you opened this thread.

Why do you think it's worth reporting? What in the thread made you actually question the previous numbers that were given? What is compelling? What made you say "oh, he's right"?

Not what I see at all. In fact they’re responding in very rational and analytical ways!

? It's in the thread :rip: The source of the number literally admits it's not actual economic analysis and instead derived from a fan survey :rip:

Wouldn't it be hypocritical if I 'celebrated' those numbers after this journalist had investigated and found that the reports had been misleading or falsely reported? I'd love to know how it is hypocrisy to do that before that knowledge. :)

Please don't put your personal issues onto me, I've never been a Taylor Swift hater or had an issue with her tour. So don't misrepresent me. You can find the misleading news found in his investigation in the Twitter thread, he lists it all there. Hence why it's listed in the OP.

You're SO BAD at trolling :bibliahh:

He also said that it has been verified/audited/conducted by senior researchers. We are not talking about fans sharing the money they spent on twitter and then someone just compiled them without any reasoning.

Y’all care and brag about the most absurd **** I’ve ever seen. Some of y’all need to go touch grass :deadbanana4: this should not be something fanbases are arguing over.

Who boosted the economy more from their tour?! Like, is this the stan world now? :toofunny2:

The survey can be verified but that doesn't mean the economic conclusions drawn from the survey have any validity. It's pretty clear through their admission that this was a 'fun' report that it was a puff piece designed to garner headlines from outlets desperate for swiftie clicks - which is where the real bragging rights come from, even the polling companies are trying to get trickle down Swift coin :rip:

No but you know what was an actual lie, Beonynce's Tidal numbers, which was under a real criminal investigation.

The way I just remembered that mess :bibliahh:

The survey concludes that Swifties spent $1300 dollars on average and that if you extrapolate that data to the number of people attending the tour, that's $5B that went to hotels, restaurant, airplane companies and such.

Now I'm not an economist myself but if $5B in total were spent, that's $5B that boosted the economy.

By the way, the only proof he has of the source of the survey saying it was a "fun" report is himself, cause proof is nowhere to be found in his thread.

It's truly hilarious how the only "sources" OTHs can use against her is some desperate far right TERF from the UK and a known OTH with literally ZERO proof of any supposed lie about the Eras Tour's impact. And the only "document" he present is something that doesn't even contradict Taylor's headlines at all :toofunny3:

OTHs: have some dignity please. The desperation is obvious and not a good look :coffee2:

This is probably the biggest example of fraud in the music industry. It's amazing how few media talked about it. Beyonce/Jay Z PR team is really something.

There would be some "actual discussion" if there's any actual findings of investigation at all.

You set yourself up :coffee:.

If you go back in this thread, you'll be able to see that the whole thread is full of Swifties attacking Beyonce, even though the OP is not mentioning her, nor is she relevant to the topic. And how many Hive members have replied? The OP is a Hive, yes. But you won't see Hive fighting in here. Now, when there is a Beyonce thread, compare how many Swifties are in those threads to how many Hive are in here.
