So yeah the artist did sell it as a new piece with “variations” (even though the original scarlet cover was identical to the chaver one). Seems very odd to me. I also don’t get why she changed the cover to another older piece by the same artist instead of just getting something custom made (or doing a proper photoshoot…).

I can’t believe she went back to that artist after they pulled that

Yea it’s super common, I think the only problem with dojas cover was that another band had an identical one and was even releasing same day  

and this one don’t really fit the vibe but maybe she just hasn’t settled on one or is teasing the real cover, who knows with her

Ms. Dusty is a MESS, that’s all there is to it. I think he genuinely did create two technically distinct pieces thinking no one would notice. The biggest shocker here is that Doja and her team would go back and just license on of his old works after he basically burned her.

 

The cover is now just a random artwork they thought was “good enough.”
