Thanks for the context of the quote. I was really rooting for him after Pose, but he has just shown himself to be a self-important, self-victim, nonstop whining old hag a** with an awful fashion style.

Also maybe better to save money for mortgage as you just lost the house, rather than spending it on the Party City costumes you would have worn to the MET Gala...

Say what you will about Anna but she's a class act and Vogue is probably the most socially aware fashion publication out there. There were were a million ways to get his point across, as valid as it might be, yet he opted to go on record and do it in the most tasteless way.

Even if he'd had a point it would've been moot the minute he called her a b*tch. It doesn't matter if Anna is a good or a bad person, simply don't call women b*tches it's not that f*cking hard!

 

To make it worse, he did not have a point. A broader conversation about representation of openly queer people of color, particularly trans people, in a huge medium like Vogue, is super necessary, but I can think of plenty of people who could've graced the cover before Billy. Frank Ocean or Tyler The Creator would make a million times more sense than Billy, if we wanna go openly queer and black. Even Lil Nas X was already more relevant than Billy back in 2020. Laverne Cox if we wanna go trans (of course the milestone would've been first trans woman to be on the cover instead of first man). Elliott Page if we wanna go trans man. Like, there's so, so many names that we could throw as representation that would come miles ahead of Billy. But Billy wanted Billy on the cover, not representation.

 

Anna gave him an opening to voice his opinion and he didn't. Then got mad when Anna didn't go for representation and instead had a A list man as the first male on the cover, because that's the bottom line. The cover wasn't about representation it was about a big celeb being on the cover of Vogue, like most of their covers are.

 

And to make matters worse, Anna and Harry are friends. Anna has expressed her love for Harry many many times. She legit said she was a fan in her 73 questions video.

 

And has gone to see him perform every time he's in NYC. Like, bye Billy.
