Aethereal Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Meanwhile her total Spotify streams when divided by 1500 barely compromise 50% of her total streaming albums units in Chartmasters. Definitely something fishy about those album sales. 1 2

Aethereal Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Just now, byzantium said: Spotify only has 31% of the streaming market. That's only the revenue, not the quantity of streams. Midnights opened with 170M first day steams in Spotify while in Amazon Music it only did 8M. Spotify has more premium users than Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal combined together and far more non premium users. 1

Definitely something fishy about those album sales. Because Spotify is just one service for audio-streaming. There are multiple others, as well as video streams too. She ended 2022 with 14 billion streams from Spotify, but had 36.6 billion combined streams across all channels, that makes for a Spotify share of just 38%. Edited August 29, 2023 by Feanor 6 1

Why are yall even in a TS thread? I just know yall are just waiting for the bait Coping with their fave making a billion dollars as a beauty mogul (enjoy listening to 50 shades of concealer i guess) while complaining and crying in the next post for new music, the duality of man i guess. 1 1 4
unclefloprry Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 I remember when the "monthly listeners" were not relevant and it was even a reason to drag an artist because it was inorganic and only reflected the amount of playlisting. What happened? btw congrats

What happened? btw congrats Because Taylor is also averaging 95 million Spotify streams daily while achieving 100 million monthly listeners. It is just so impressive that no other artist is doing it like her. Plus Spotify itself even tweeted about it. Swifties are still well aware that "monthly listeners" is just a 'meh' metric but it is still a nice addition to her long list of achievements 5
Lille Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 The way every Taylor-related thread gets infested with Rihanna stans, followed by comments about Rihanna being a billionaire. F***ing clockwork. Y'all getting some dividends when Fenty goes public? 1 6

I don't know where are you going to find those extra billions of streams outside of Spotify, maybe in Mars. Her US numbers are ... mostly fine (aside from streaming making a lot more easier to pull album units than before) however her international numbers are more questionable outside of Anglosphere, which is ironic because Apple Music is radically smaller than Spotify outside of Anglosphere. Continue streaming Spelling is Fun, spamming those numbers slapped in articles all I care. Edited August 30, 2023 by Aristotle 3

And the formula for YT views is 6200=1 album unit or maybe 12000 equals an album unit.
