Sadie Saxton Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 I actually just ordered a series X because it just ended up being more nichely fitting to my situation but lord getting it ordered was an absolute nightmare. Had to try multiple times getting it through Microsoft but their system wouldn’t accept my payment - I talked to 5 different service reps who just went in circles with no solution so I ended up getting it through a resale site . Here’s hoping they start picking up more exclusives or start focusing production on Elder Scrolls at this point - but even at this rate I think that’s slated for next console
Anye Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 I read here somewhere PS/Sony is over.. What happened?

Johnnyboi Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 I sold my Xbox series S because there was no games on Gamepass I couldn’t play somewhere else better. Bought a PS5 with the money since it easy to get one now. 1
Haze Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Annoying Sonyta's and their never ending console warring. For better or worse, Microsoft decided to change their strategy compared to their main rivals. If Microsoft wanted to sell as many Xboxes as possible, they would not simultaniously allow all their games to release on PC as well: dedicated gamers especially will always prefer the platform where they can toy around with the settings. Microsoft has invested in a very broad ecosystem which makes the comparison with PlayStation or Nintendo hard to make. There has definitely been a big lack of exclusive games to draw in consumers, but that seems to be changing looking at their upcoming release slate. Anyway, for us as gamers and consumers, we should want Xbox to do well. Healthy competition benefits us, whereas we unavoidably see anti-consumerist measures whenever a console has too much dominance (Nintendo in the 90's, Sony during PS4's run, ...)
thatsmydemi Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Buying a Series S to use Game Pass is the best thing I could've done. I'm beyond happy with it.
ATRL Moderator Bloo Posted August 29, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted August 29, 2023 I can’t help but think the awful naming “convention” for Xbox has something to do with it.
