internet says it had 8 weeks #1 uk, but only 20 days topping spotify (3 weeks).

so that seems mighty generous of the chart gods. 5 more on top of overall than spotify.

meanwhile sprinter's topped spotify for 85 days (12 weeks). 2 more on top of spotify than overall.

Yeah but spotify is not the only way to chart. They were also selling vinyls and signed physical singles of MIRACLE, which I love because it tied in very well with its 90s, early 00s trance sound.

UK chart rules force songs down the chart the older they get typically, it usually has a pretty dramatic effect on songs when the rules kick in

If u decrease for 3 weeks straight I believe ACR kicks in and they half your points in half. I think it's such a stupid rule tbh

Thanks, I never knew about this. So Dua's song might still be the most popular/consumed song in the country if we go by numbers but bc it has been decreasing consistently it ended up at a random position?

It's Sprinter. If it wasn't for the rule Sprinter would be #1 for 13 weeks so far and Billie, Dua and Doja would have been blocked

Wouldn't have expected the Doja song to be smashing this hard WW :deadbanana: Good for her!

Are we sure about this? Both DTN and Sprinter on ACR and DTN is at #11, with Sprinter at #16. Doesn't that mean DTN is out-performing?

no, because without ACR songs like bad habits ,would not have left the top 10 for months, harry styles would have blocked even mire songs and out favas would hardly get a look in,

the top 10 would be stale and barely move for months and you'd complain because dua would not chart high, same with Kylie Minogue

Doja has the streaming advantage by a very good margin though. It seems like it will be a close battle again this week between her and Olivia.
