Makes sense, she's just allowing herself to live as a normal human & not as a public spectacle 24/7.

I hope people actually try to understand her & not just drag her :deadbanana: And I'm sure she will tour eventually, or at least do a residency of some sort

the truth is, we won't be able to comprehend this because we aren't touring musicians, especially on this scale. but I can definitely see her point, and imagining touring like.. a world arena tour seems so exhausting on a lot of levels, physical and mental.

I love her to death but god can she be annoying sometimes :dancehall3: this woman needs to start acting like the A LIST celebrity that she is I mean she has no problem following her boyfriend around on his tour

I understand what she’s saying and I’d feel the same if I was a celebrity. Nevertheless, I wish she would do short tours. Even something with stripped back production and simple like Lana’s newly announced 10ish stop tour

Tbh she made some points. Look at how Taylor is treated like a zoo animal on tour. :skull: Now not all artists have that level of fame obvi, but it's gotta be weird. And you perform for thousands of people, but you don't actually get to meet any of them like a normal human. It is weird though how she was dying to tour during Covid. Maybe her new BF changed things.

Not gonna lie I think being a musician and avoiding performing in front of audiences like it's the last one you want to do is extremely weird.

this throws me off too because during the Plastic Hearts era you could really tell that she has a passion for performing & then during her LatAm festival tour a bunch of **** went down & she completely changed her tune

I feel like she’s in a place where she’s almost been doing this for 20 years now and has already solidified a legacy and earned tons of money and she deserves to explore normal life.

:clap3: glad someone with the platform is speaking up and speaking out.

touring is not just perform music for hundreds of thousands of people who love you. there are dates you have to nail down with venues, there is a band, there may be dancers, there is wardrobe and make up, some artists sing live which takes a huge strin on your voice over the years and not in a positive way. let's not bring in the promo you have to do for your tour, ON TOP of the promotion you may have to do for a single you released or maybe promoting a feature your own. and the business partners you have to network and promote on top if it. and what about the fans that have started the trend of throwing things at artists on stage? some artists are incredible germaphobes now after COVID. touring is not healthy honestly and as big as Miley is, as much as she has given to the world she is very much entitled to feel this way and do as she please. I was at the MSG garden show of the BANGERZ tour after Floyd was attacked, as a dog owner I can only imagine what she had to do to push through that entire tour.

stans and fans should be A LOT more empathetic to artists, they're human beings first and deserve to be treated as such. it's really odd to me how people feel entitlement to  artists bc they supported them. like... you made that choice to support them they're not prostitutes or toys for your amusement. they are real people, they have issues just like the rest of us.

I wonder about this with Taylor, the subject/observer thing. What must it feel like every night to be the center of attention for over three hours for hundreds of thousands of people screaming for you and then waving goodbye and slipping away to a quiet bedroom alone, night after night? Sure she’s been doing this for a long time, but that can’t feel psychologically normal.

She seems kind of arrogant and ungrateful to me

It's fair but she doesn't have tour the globe on a 200 date tour.

Throw US 10 dates and another 5 in Europe. Maybe 2 in Australia if we're feeling generous. You can be done in a month and go back to your life

I do feel sympathy for her and I will never pretend touring is easy for any artist, but she seems to downright not want to do it, which is what I find really odd.  You have to admit it's kind of a shame.  But she definitely doesn't seem to be in the right headspace to do it rn, which in that case, she definitely shouldn't do it nor be forced to do it. I hope she eventually comes around to it.

There is no demand for her anyways

her last tour Bangerz which was a decade ago was not that successful and she was in her peak

She's already clarified this statement & said that she loves her fans dearly.

Let's give this woman some respect and space, she's been a public figure since 13 years old & she has every right to withdraw from everything and enjoy a private life for a year or two

A whole bunch of word salad to basically say she hates touring lol.

A shame. World tours don't need to be 2 yrs at a time if it's too much for her. She has options - shorter tours, a Vegas residency, etc. Not gonna lie I think being a musician and avoiding performing in front of audiences like it's the last one you want to do is extremely weird. Like... that is part of what being an entertainer is.

Is it though? Have you been to more concerts than you have listened to albums/singles at home? Her main job as a singer is to make music inside of a studio and put it out for people to listen to. Performing her music live is just an option. Like, I'd be more upset if my faves announced they're retiring from recording rather than retiring from performing.
