btw the album pulled 6.3M streams yesterday, the 6 live tracks approximately 2.5M… folklore long pond did 1.8M with 17 tracks

idk if she had a cold, her head wasn’t in it or if it was hard for her to sing those/she was emotional (would make sense for The Way at least) but she was not hitting those notes the way she obviously can. i’m actually very surprised those are the versions she released.

Exactly. Something felt off about her performances. She seemed anxious/stressed. It just felt inauthentic

She didn’t really promote it and there isn’t any new material. Live performances of a few songs that were already on the album isn’t going to garner any real attention except from hardcore fans.

I was a fan of Ari from the jump w/ The Way & Yours Truly 10 years ago, I remember its release. This is an album mostly for her long-term or more passionate fans. This album really wasn't all that big in 2013-14. TW peaked at #9 and stuck around the Top 10-15 for a bit, but it's not really an enduring classic and I don't even think it's in the Top 20 of her daily streamed songs (at least prior to this 10th anniversary edition). Nothing else from the album even got close to the success of TW after.  IDK how much this era ended up selling/streaming but every other album she released after this one has been way more successful and popular. Ari didn't blow tf up in terms of popularity until Problem in mid 2014 like 8-9 months after YT came out.  No one should've expected much from this, lol.  Most people who have been around to watch her entire career trajectory know this album is by far her least popular.
