The Richmond song's high position is powered mostly by sales which are burning off - it's down on Spotify streaming this Friday by a bit.

 

They posted this to their subscribers and said its Thursday sales were very low. That is probably be why its points are low here.

I don't know why people make comments like these when the events last week are nothing alike to the events happening this week.

 

They posted Fast Car vs. Cruel Summer on Friday before any data for the week was loaded in (yes, that was for interactions however CD posted the exact same thing the same day also for interactions so can't really blame them there, especially because it looked due to Wednesday/Thursday numbers that the Richmond song would fall). On Saturday, once Friday's Spotify numbers were loaded in and it got a 20% boost, that's when they posted that the Richmond song would stay at #1.

 

As for points, I'm sorry but it's not substantially increasing unless it gets a midweek boost. Sales are way down now and streaming is decreasing slightly. Even dropping to 65K from 120K from the finals is enough for it to not do 250+ points (assuming it doesn't increase in streaming).

 

There is no such indication of a boost on Friday if today's Spotify update is an indication and probably no boost today given Zach Bryan went #1 on Apple Music. There is an indication of the song dropping, however, since the song went from 310 points on Friday's preds to 302 points on today's. Thus, unless it gets a midweek boost, it's not doing over 250 points this week and is likely doing a lot less than it.
