But I doubt they expected this song to be a #1 contender

It really is a grower and has the same sad relationship catharsis as Space Cowboy to me. The GP also loves a good love duet, especially country fans. Hopefully this sets the stage for a huge 5th album for her.

It could be a hit there though, in 6 months. Country radio is super slow and don't touch songs unpromoted to them.

Country radio hates both of them

Country radio is kind of weird. Zach's music and IRE is more folk/Americana and country radio likes to play the pop/country stuff.
