It's clear that they are doing those extended version without really putting much thought into it. They just make it for the sake of making it. I really don't understand why they keep adding those instrumental breaks after first chorus. They did that with Padam as well. It doesn't even flow well. There are few extended version from Disco that had potential but I ended up creating my own edits out of them because they had few unnecessary parts that didn't flow well.

I need an extended version with a full beat slow-down / breakdown like Britney's Break The Ice bridge and Robot Kylie saying almost there on top of it. And then an explosive final chorus

same here. I found a few fanmade extended versions for DISCO that were miles netter than what her and her team were doing. if you find any great Tension extended mixes please let me know.

They probably have promo lined up for the album in 2 weeks so the song will also get a big push alongside. Whether it will stick or not depends on the public. We ARE streaming though

This. That break stopped Padam dead in its tracks. Completely killed the momentum. We don't need that part extended. The intro, outro, and bridge need work

Kylie needs to do a live performance and then release the Remix's IMO. it's doing great on radio but it really needs a push. the album may be two weeks or so away but before then she has to have something lined up in order to push both the single and album. it would be foolish for them to just sit on the sidelines and let this pop masterpiece fizzle out so soon.

for all the reasons above, im not surprised that the extended version is bad. but in this case it really is a shame, as this song, more than anything on Disco or Padam, has some great elements that could be brought out in a new mix. even a small detail like the ‘do do do doos’ are very fun to listen to.

At least the extended mixes on Disco had some charm (even if not all off them worked), but you can tell that not much thought went into the extended versions of Padam Padam and Tension…  Tbh now I’m pretty sure we won’t get an extended album for Tension

To me the song did more that it was supposed to do 

 

Top20 on the charts , getting radio airplay and a big buzz in the gay community is a MASSIVE success
