UK Spotify

#69 (+31) Padam Padam - 101,885 streams
#76 (NE) Tension - 98,454 streams

“"Padam Padam" by Kylie Minogue is the biggest gainer on Top Songs United Kingdom, up 31 spots at #69.”

Australia Spotify

#111 (+84) Padam Padam - 53,722 streams

Tension missed the chart but I’d assume it was close to entering. Padam received a big boost from being tacked on the tracklist after Tension.

this is one thing I was afraid of. 'Tension' is boosting 'Padam Padam' instead of the other way around.

She keeps going with the bangers. :jonny:

HOOK after HOOK!

 :WAP:

The opening 30 seconds just transcend to that cloud 9 place only the best pop does; Ms Minogue the legend you are!

I love this :WAP: better than Padam Padam

My only problem with this song is that it sets expectations for the album to a bar that I’m 100% sure the record is not going to reach.

If she only made the entire record based on this sound it really would have been a career highlight.

i wish they've done more together, esp 90s/house-y like PP & T, hopefully the album isn't too KMO'd :dancehall:

We've heard Padam, Tension, 10 Out of 10, and a snippet of Vegas High. None of those are KMO'd and so I have a feeling the remaining 10 tracks won't be too KMO'd either.

Even if they are, I wouldn't hate it because I think KMO is a pretty overhated album and has several excellent tracks like Into The Blue, the title track, Million Miles, Fine etc.

rest of the songs sound nothing like this or Padam but I think the rest is really good as well judging by snippets. I'm really excited for Story and One More Time.

rest is euphoric pop music, the only bad track is -1000000000/10 which I'll be deleting

This needs to be her next step. A 100% club album.

One More Time and 10 out of 10 are KMO’d, the rest are not.

I think the inevitable Tension re-issue will have several club songs.

Based on the snippets it seems like Padam and Tension are the best songs there

Snippets, insiders. They all said PP and T are stand-outs on the record, sonically speaking. It’s not an album full of bangers but it’s most classic Kylie.

A whole album like PP and Tension would have been probably what pop music waits from Dua Lipa after Future Nostalgia (and what I’m actually kinda expecting from DL3).

That doesn’t mean Tension going to be a bad album at all, ofc. I actually think it’s going to be a very good pop record.

The fact that the chorus, the main HOOK of the song, is what leaked MONTHS ago, and I had listened to it so many times, and the song STILL hits is really a testament to how good it is :jonnycat:

Does any other latino hear "Culazo" instead of "cool as sorbet" :rip:

You’re not my favorite person right now :deadbanana2:

Spoiler

And don’t get me started with the live version of “needy”, the tiktok kids forced me to hear “eso tiline” near the end

Oh this is fun, I’m not sure if I like it as much as Padam or the Disco singles yet but it’s still great. Her best video in a while too :jonny2:

by that i meant 'basic dance pop' but you're right it's overhated i love lots of it (les sex, feels so good, sexercize, even beautiful :skull: and the b-sides/demos) BUT i'd've rather seen her experiment more with house like the last two singles did, her voice is made for it :jonny2:
