Mitsouko Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Her best single since All The Lovers, maybe since The One, maybe since Chocolate, maybe even since Slow I’m sorry but it’s true

Horizon Flame Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Does anyone have a gif of Black Kylie smirking as she works the machine?
Right Now Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Theory on Pop Justice on the concept of the Tension video: Quote So... no one's talking about how the video is about masturbation? It's clearly Cute Kylie entering thewithin (apprehensively, I might add) where Dark Kylie pulls all the (phallic) levers to animate the projection of Vamp Kylie to show her how to do it. Cute Kylie is mimicking Vamp Kylie's moves and eventually leads to a euphoric scene as the hotel room breaks and she's awakened to the art. Then, Cute and Dark Kylies sit across from each other - awkwardly - pointing, noting they could spend all night with "each other" - then the mini Showgirl Kylie appears representing the *** - just look at how they interact with her. They both get embarrassed and intrigued in different ways. Then the whole video explodes into a climactic euphoric ending where they all dance together and it's overwhelming... breaking the tension. Cute Kylie then leaves with her scarf, purse, and hat left behind, fluffing her hair and with a sparkle in her step. There's no extras for a reason. It's all Kylie. Another commentator that agrees with this theory: Quote It's not wasted on me that Kylie literally enters a box at the very beginning, starting this entire journey. 1
shark_heather Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Apple Music: #16 (+2) Ireland #26 (+4) Australia #40 (+4) UK Cute little fan fact : Tension just overpassed Padam #18 Ireland #27 Australia #41 UK 2

The video is fun and Ludacris in the best way I would've preferred a traditional dance scene focusing on each look and outfit but I don't mind her giving us 2001 Space Odyssey realness Yeah she deserves a budget for her videos. Kind of tired of her getting the low end of it for her videos in recent album cycles You have a gif from radar Yeah I miss the high class elegance of her previous videos. Low budget does such a disservice Not really when their were more jump cuts to the dancers and most of hers were her sitting in a chair and rolling inna bed The way that she looks better than most pop girls half her age and that's with no alterations. The other girls should take notes. I feel like her new label is better in-regards to managing her rollouts and pushing singles/physicals. But they’re not as good when it comes to music visual budgets. They put their efforts into the albums push.

I’ve seen like four people compare Tension to Girls Aloud, and I’ll take as much music that sounds like this as I can Personally I wanted to listen to Biology the most after Tension even though it’s not that similar sonically. Something Kinda Ooh is almost identical in structure to Tension, whilst Something New is another club anthem that I felt like hearing after listening to Tension. Also, All Fired Up by The Saturdays has a chorus quite similar to the one for Tension and it was produced by the same people who made the bulk of Girls Aloud’s music (Xenomania), so that might also be something you would like to checkout.

Not because of it sounding like a Girls Aloud song sonic wise. 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 The way this is exactly what I’ve been asking for pop music to sound like in 2023. Like I been playing this nonstop since I got off work. I haven’t replayed a Kylie single this much since like back when I was in highschool when All the lovers dropped

Spotify is doing her SO dirty, she even did a private gig for them around KMO and always interacts with them on socials to this day, yet she barely gets anything back from them in return. Even at the peak of Padam they were reluctant to move her higher on the most relevant playlists, despite of the song sitting in the UK top 10 and being the #1 airplay hit in the country.
