joannna Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 i was about to say this was obviously inspired by folklore and evermore then found out that the whole thing was produced by Dessner.
Mr. Duff Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Really an autumn album, it's so good! Maybe I;m biased but this is like folklore and + combined, the catchy songs really made me feel a lot! Plastic Bag, That's on Me and American Town are really the quickest to get my attention. Amazing is also amazing *ahem* and Page is so good. The second half kinda drags but maybe because it's so cohesive that I wasn't able to pay attention more as the sound and vibe is essentially autumn-y. I have to listen more to appreciate the second half.
GreatestLoveofAll Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Had no idea he was releasing?? listening to american town now and its pretty cute- certainly wayyy better than eyes closed. this is very taylor coded especially the lyrics and usually i tend to avoid all that but i might give this album a listennnn
Pop Music Aussie Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I’m so sick of the same old boring sound from him
vale9001 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 i'm sure his intention was to make 2 albums in a year with Dessner (like folklore + evermore) but after the first flopped hard it turned this into a "mixtape release only for the fans" anyways it's better than the album before
spiritboy Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Another great album from Ed. He clearly had very dark days and i'm glad he's letting all out.
Gladiator Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I like this album. England in particular is great.
Maroonx Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I'm gonna listen to it today. I hope it's better than his last album
M.R. Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Punchline is great. Found most of the album quite boring.
Katamari Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 the day i was born is so cowboy like you coded
Galantis Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Plastic Bag was the only song I liked. The Day I Was Born was quite nice as well. Don't care about the rest.

skwonderfactory Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 This is a very solid album Not sure if I like it as much as - or x, but overall I’m very impressed. My partner ordered us the white sticker vinyl. I look forward to all the seasons! Favorite songs: “England”, “Amazing”, “American Town”, “Punchline”, and “Head > Heels”

GRMusic Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I loved Subtract, but this is just bland.
omrimayo Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I really think this Ed album is the biggest bomb of all time. He can say whatever he wants about it "no promo" or whatever, he used to be the biggest artist in the world 5 minutes ago, and these "numbers" are just... no words. 1
Cqmerqn Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I would say this is the biggest bomb of all time too 1
TOKYO. Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 A bomb.. i feel happy. Hes defeated finally 1 1 1
spiritboy Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 His tour grossed almost $500m, how is he "defeated"?
