I played I-VI only, VI is my fave by far

My humble apologizes for the emoji abuse, but I’m very passionate about this series. As of late, I’ve played and completed:

 

Final Fantasy I: An adequate (but marginally flawed) start. 

Final Fantasy II: THIS GAME WAS ABSOLUTELY TURRIBLE. 

(…but I liked the Pixel Remaster )

Final Fantasy III: I REALLY detest this title overall. It’s probably my least favorite at the moment. But the story was cute on the DS version. 

Final Fantasy IV: Shaky in places, but pretty good in retrospect.  

Final Fantasy VI: Objectively the best FF game of all time. Damn near flawless. 

Final Fantasy VII: VERY worthy of its praise and reputation. Love it for life. 

Final Fantasy VIII: This one surprised me the most, TBH. A beautiful game that was tragically misunderstood. 

Final Fantasy X: A resplendent game+story with utterly repugnant side-quests. As a result, I adored the vanilla game but hated the international version. 

Final Fantasy X-2: A cute game full of enjoyably nonsensical side-quests. Enjoyed it very much. 

 

As for my favorite, I’d honestly go with FF8. I adore every inch of this game, and IDGAF who says what about it.

But Joshua stole the show for me in F16. The humility, The passion, and the bravery.. he carried the second half.

10 was my favorite followed very closely by 7

FF10 and FF6 are my favorites. FF12 has the best soundtrack imo. FF13 had potential but I didn't enjoy it. FF8 had the best villain imo. I don't like the new FF games. I miss the diverse groups, strong and playable female characters etc.

just finished re-playing 10 actually last week and while it's my favorite game in the series (probably of all time too), i may have lost a bit of love for it when i got to overpowered in the end game lol... the battles against seymour and jecht didn't last long (like both less than 5 minutes) because my nirvana-equipped yuna was such a beast. she was the only one i got a celestial weapon.
