I feel like I've seen this title a dozen of times in the past. First female rap solo song to go #1 here, there, everywhere etc. I'm probably mixing tons of stuff up. I'm shocked Bodak Yellow apparently never got to #1 on Spotify US or one of Nicki's recent hits. Nonetheless, I'm happy for Doja. And she did it with such a personal song that's also quite lengthy. Can't wait for the album!

Not people thinking some dumb thing on twitter had an influence in her career. You just have her free promo

And she's doing it without Dr. Luke :clap3:

I bet that they thought she would flop this era (I definitely thought so too), and it turns out that she is succeeding without him and proving her worth instead :clap3:

damn?? the lead flopped and now the 2nd single is smashing. Haven't seen that in a while!

And she did it without her alienated fanbase!

Attention was never a lead cause it was never send to radios.it wasn't an official single (in USA at least)

Rihanna's Rated R came to mind. Russian Roulette and Hard were underperformers IIRC but then she had Rude Boy going to number 1

Lizzo flopped w Rumors and then had About Damn Time smashing too

Ahhh the song is so good so I'm happy it's taking off despite her antics.

That’s because “Attention” was never meant to be the lead.  I been told yall that.

Just based on the lack of promo out the gate + the fact they had PTTR posters up literally the same week Attention was released.  PTTR was always the lead.

But anywho, :clap3: @ this song doing so well.

Ngl…I didn’t think it would do this well either.  :cupid:  I guess I’m still taken aback by how laid back the song is, especially for a song titled “Paint The Town Red”.  Totally not what I expected.

…but it is catchy I suppose lol.

I don't like the song but good for her

However I'd rather have this song at #1 than any of those problematic country songs.

It wasnt lead single. Have you ever seen a lead single with no radio deal or not even sent to radio at all? It was a manifesto.
