chiliam Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 oh woa this is so exciting to witness. Hopefully all the girls will pull through and get back the top 10 from those country/rap man
DreamGlow Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 the illuminati deal paid off OT: this is on repeat
dumbsparce Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) I feel like I've seen this title a dozen of times in the past. First female rap solo song to go #1 here, there, everywhere etc. I'm probably mixing tons of stuff up. I'm shocked Bodak Yellow apparently never got to #1 on Spotify US or one of Nicki's recent hits. Nonetheless, I'm happy for Doja. And she did it with such a personal song that's also quite lengthy. Can't wait for the album! Edited August 21, 2023 by dumbsparce
Digitalism Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Not people thinking some dumb thing on twitter had an influence in her career. You just have her free promo
reymiu Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 And she's doing it without Dr. Luke I bet that they thought she would flop this era (I definitely thought so too), and it turns out that she is succeeding without him and proving her worth instead 6
Nashe Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 damn?? the lead flopped and now the 2nd single is smashing. Haven't seen that in a while! And she did it without her alienated fanbase!

Russian Roulette and Hard were underperformers IIRC but then she had Rude Boy going to number 1 Lizzo flopped w Rumors and then had About Damn Time smashing too
_Fey Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Ahhh the song is so good so I'm happy it's taking off despite her antics.

And she did it without her alienated fanbase! That’s because “Attention” was never meant to be the lead. I been told yall that. Just based on the lack of promo out the gate + the fact they had PTTR posters up literally the same week Attention was released. PTTR was always the lead. But anywho, @ this song doing so well. 7

I guess I’m still taken aback by how laid back the song is, especially for a song titled “Paint The Town Red”. Totally not what I expected. …but it is catchy I suppose lol.

aesthetic bih Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) I don't like the song but good for her However I'd rather have this song at #1 than any of those problematic country songs. Edited August 21, 2023 by aesthetic bih
