Also I'm not familiar with how Jaguar if going, what happened there? Jaguar pt 1 came out in 2020, and pt 2 is coming next week

And it took a long time to restart the era. for miley, I think it was partly label partly her not knowing what to do since it wasn’t as big as they thought maybe? But Plastic Hearts came out of it so thats good. The point is, multi part albums these days seem to cause huge delays even if it seems like a good idea. What they really are is a way for labels and artists to spend less money since albums cost lots of money to make. They can take a smaller risk with release albums in parts, and if they are successful, they can draw out the era for longer. I have yet to see it work recently. I think of Future Nostalgia or Renaissance where complete bodies of work do well for a long time. Its hard for smaller artists like Tinashe though. So unfortunate. Label execs are crying about there being no stars anymore but someone like Tinashe is not given the budget and creative control. 3 1

Alldeezy Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 this album is gonna be a slay, Talk To Me Nice & Needs are already my most played tinashe songs this year alone

This is my understanding as well, basically the label is giving Tinashe a test run with the new album to see how her fan base can recuperate what they invest into her and gauge how she does in the tour. That's why it's CRUCIAL for us to support Tinashe especially with only 7 tracks to stream in the new album. 1 1

I think it's really admirable and I'm glad she's given us a great discography. She’s a (sadly rare) case of serving quality after suffering issues with her art and label disputes and I think it’s so interesting. She deserved everything but for a lot of people they end up just selling out and never truly getting to give us their vision. I’m glad we have such great music from her 1
willmcclure9 Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 She always serves quality, idgaf about 7 tracks since Amethyst is one of her best 'albums', but i hope we have a 6-10 min song in there

Will we get just “ANG3L” later? When albums are released in two parts are they separate projects? Or do they re release it with the first part as a completely new album? 4 hours ago, SchmoodRing said: As she should Yeah I mean drop it before the year ends. No way she leaving us a 7 song project only to give us another 7 in 6 months gtfo THIS 100%

Kiss It Better Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 sept 8th and only 7 songs?? girl.... we aren't in 2015 at least add one more song and make it 8 that means only 5 new songs left... might as well just drop it altogether had it been known as only 7 songs

campelo Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 I would say people will found this strategy disappointing because she is always serving long albums 1

No. "BB/ANG3L" is the full title of the first part of the project. We don't know how she'll title the second part, maybe "Part II" or completely different. It's a double-side project, they belong to the same project but have different aspects to it (maybe sound, meaning, persona,...) Also, we don't know if she'll release the 2nd part separately or just reissue the 1st one with new tracks (the 2nd part) But I'm pretty sure the physicals (CDs, vinyls) we'll get later down the road will include both sides.
Trip Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 maybe she will release a complete edition after the second part drops
Kern Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 I don’t care about number of tracks. What I’m worried about is - pretty much all albums that were supposed to have second part never got it… Thats why I’ll just treat this as a full project and hopefully it will serve like her albums usually do
KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 7 songs? so is it an EP? i dont care if it has only 7 songs if some songs are long. hopefully the album is more than 30 minutes
Guy12345 Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Just roll with it. she knows what she's doing, I guess she's just trying to switch things up a little to keep it interesting. we're still getting 14 full Tinashe songs and she considers it to be a full length album. 1

lifeafterlove Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 quality > quantity but like… 7..?? if it was 10 or 12 then ok but SEVEN? Five new tracks? Sigh…

I listened to a lot of promising songs that I'm praying she's gonna release because she's exploring sounds she has never done before. This is so exciting to hear 1
