I remember Halle talking about TLM so eloquent, iconic and classy, like a stunning MOVIE STAR.

Rachel just sounds so unserious, like she is half joking, half trying to make a point

This. Rachel is in desperate need of media training. Idk how Disney let her go around talking **** about the original movie like that :rip:

I feel bad for her. I'm sure her PR person, who probably had some communications with Disney, told her to say the kinds of things she's saying to emphasize the feminist angle of the movie. Now she's getting universally dragged

basically. you can point she’s acting annoying without tearing her to shreds like this.

Why Hollywood so obsessed with changing history? And changing all the classic that everyone know and love? Just to satisfy minorities? Why don't you just make new stories for them? Rather then deleting and ruin what's already there ans great. This is not normal at all.

The new one is going to be rubbish, you can already tell.

She seems insufferable but the backlash is getting out of hand :rip: Are we really supposed to side with MAGA freak Gina Carano?

Emma Watson said nearly identical things about Belle while promoting her Beauty and the Beast remake and didn’t get nearly this kind of backlash, it’s so dumb.

I think we all know why. Also Snow White was not even in everyone's radar nor Top 5 princess movies but here we are :coffee:

what is being deleted here. you can go watch the other movie if you want — a movie which, i'll point out, was an adaptation of the original folktale. the first Snow White was a "changed classic," so by your logic, it shouldn't have been ade either. see how quickly that falls apart? no need for the pseudo-intellectual cowardice, if you want an all-white cast then just say it with your chest, racist

This movie is already cursed and they haven’t even started filming… (or have they I’m not actually sure lol).

At this point just cancel it, we don’t need anymore of these uninspired, lifeless remakes anyway (unless it’s Tangled hihihihi)

This is so gonna do The Flash numbers or at  best TLM numbers :toofunny3:

Makes no sense. Nothing about Belle's character traits and story arc was changed from the OG adaptation.

The actress is definitely rude and has a harsh abrasive personality but that’s not gonna be what kills the movie.

Disney is determined to remake everything and it’s going to be their undoing. Between removing the uniqueness that Disney World had in favor of IP, to their remakes and soulless newer movies…. Disney needs a change in course, and quick. I think they’re in danger, and not from anything politically. The calls are all coming from inside the House of Mouse.

This self-entitled and talentless actress is so annoying

& this is not the first time she got into a controversy so... :mazen:

The Little Mermaid is one of the highest grossing films of the year, so that's not really a bad thing. I think the controversy worked in its favor, and the same will probably happen with this one. It's all about marketing, and if it worked once, why not do it again?

I don’t care who they are but as soon as someone uses “woke” as a negative I immediately write them off as, at best, a passive white supremacist

I can’t believe she said that they “casted” a man. Good grief, did she graduate middle school?

TLM bombed hard. Don’t even.

It's just a remake on a movie no one even cares about.

I honestly think that if this "Snow White" came out 10 years ago, there would be less controversy. The "culture wars" have really branded anything as "white genocide" and "woke."

All of this.

Politics and actresses aren't why Disney is declining... it's simply creative bankruptcy. All of their last couple of years of decisions scream "we're out of GOOD new ideas".   Snow White re-make is just going to be another mid live action re-make in a long list of many now, and they're supposedly adding even more w/ Hercules and what not. It's painfully boring now. We know none of them will be exceptional or great movies. Even worse is  they'll be extending this list further w/ live remakes of Moana, Toy Story, Tangled, etc. All of this budget should be going towards new, original movies instead, lol. Long-term they're going to eat themselves alive w/ the endless re-makes because audiences will get tired of it to the point they're not profitable eventually.
