This could've been the vehicle to bring LNX into a more real and intimate era. Unfortunately it seems like J CHRIST turned a LOT of people off immediately, and not because of controversy but because of sheer boredom it's hard enough for Black queer men to make it mainstream, and to see him be so careless with the career he's built is kinda sad. El Nino Posted January 19 Share Posted January 19 (edited) Any gay person who doesn't root for gay people in the entertainment business when we only have about 3 openly gay celebrities doing anything is the opposition. Seek help for your self-hatred. It may do you in someday. Lil Nas is so cute, but I do not like the fem aesthetic in the form of nail polish, makeup, skirts, and heels. That aesthetic is played out when it comes to queer men and visibility/activism. I also am not a fan of the constant trolling. I like that the doc is focused on his relationship with his family, specifically his dad and brothers, as an openly gay person. Homophobia, like racism, is a hard ideology to break. I like that aspect because these things are not resolved just because one has money and fame. I will be watching.
