I'm not really a fan so far of her return to cheap sounding "dark pop". Flux may not have done the numbers but it was such a rich and accomplished album, some of the songs on there are shining examples of what modern punk music can be. We'll see what the album holds in store tho :michael:

Is it very similar to both released singles?

It’s not similar to any of the previous singles.

It kinda sounds like a Poppy.Computer song gone dark (and like a poppier My Microphone).

Definitely a bop and it's also a complete contrast from Flicker which was a synthy mid-tempo.

@sam.teas will there be a video for this? And will Flicker video come later??

Flicker has (had) a music video ready for its release too, but plans changed and I really don’t know if it will come later on the album release date making it a focus single or just with other “visual” videos for each track.

No idea currently about the existence of a video for Motorbike.

Visually speaking, she is making a lot of vinyl variants and I preordered some of them ‘cause they’re very good! :bird:

Thanks, I'm very excited for this new single and the entire album. So far it's been 2/2 for me, too bad Spit is not there (I know it's a cover) as I love it so much.

Very interesting, I guess that's why she changed Flicker for this one.

What? :chick2: are you for real? This album sounds like it's all over the place but it may be a good thing, we'll see

Glad someone agrees with me on Flux, seems like much of her ATRL fanbase hates it. Definitely her most timeless record.

I'm OK with this being more pop-oriented, in part because I think she's making the transition very smoothly. I wasn't crazy about her EP earlier this year but it's obvious it was to gloss over the change in genre. I think I Disagree and Flux were both born from a place of frustration and her moving on from that seems healthy.

Yeah I can definitely see Flux and I Disagree coming from unhealthier parts in her life, but I think the heavier sounds suit her, I still love rock and metal when it’s executed with some levity to it, like she did with Say Cheese.

Bring me the horizon also do this very well, KINGSLAYER is a fun campy metal bop.

Eat doesn't get enough love, that EP is INSANELY good. Top 5 in her discography.

To me her releases (Minus instrumentals, xmas and covers) have been like this:

Bubblebath EP = cute but uneventful.

Poppy.computer = cute but uneventful.

Am I A Girl? = half of it meh, the other half pretty good.

Choke EP = Beginning of her experimental sound, love it.

I Disagree = ******* amazing.

ID (Deluxe) = Good.

EAT EP = Really cool and fun.

Flux = Great timeless sound, love the big 90s grunge throwback.

Stagger EP = Pretty meh except for the title track which is one of her best rock ballads ever, maybe her best rock ballad.

nnn I don't wanna say things, but I see again a change in the dates. Now I see that Motorbike will be released in the first half of September, giving up the place to another single :rip:
lemme stay quiet and let's wait for her official announcement.

I think it's actually better this way, there's still 2 months til the album comes out, another song in September and the final song one week before the album would be great.

unfortunately the plans are not like that, but currently 2 songs SHOULD be coming before the drop of the album
