B-Luke Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 The way this song completely took over and didn‘t just peak high then plummet justice for Cruel Blockage
hausofdave Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 looks like its not looking like another #1 frontloaded debut like last weeks chart topper
Dialamba Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 The way even without iTunes it would’ve gone number one

If you are talking about Seven/TTiaST (they went #1 3-4 weeks ago), at least they are still in the Top 25/30 in week 5. The only real frontloaded debut this year was Like Crazy, which went 1 -> 45, and off the chart after 5 weeks.

It's crazy to think if she simply said "I love America" instead of "I hate America", she could be on Taylor Swift's level. I really want pop music to dominate like it used to. If the pop girls would just be patriotic every now and then they would be so much more popular.

gardendreams Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 How do these songs circulate among conservatives/republicans? It's not like Rich Men of Richmond/Jason Aldean have tons of followers... Is it through FB groups? The Newspaper? TV?

They have their own circles, but it's mostly through social media, particularly Youtube. There's like 100+ big right-wing Youtubers and basically all of them have done multiple videos on the song. Twitter, 4chan, Facebook as well. They also use Telegram, Rumble, Bitchute and other sites a lot as well which is how things get passed around so fast. Like it's Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, etc, who have tons of followers and they're all praising the song. The artist themselves don't really need to have many followers.
