Something needs to change in the point system when songs keep breaking records and stay in top 10 for a year while top albums keep changing in the blink of an eye

It's a nice song honestly.

And who wants a Christmas Fad song to hold this title. I love Mariah but that song is only popular because of Christmas and getting shoved down everyone's cake hole.

Why would a Christmas song be popular outside of… Christmas?

This isn't even one of his best songs, but on the other hand, it's a much better song than Despacito.

It's getting weird...

If this ends up getting the record this is more telling of how music is in the US now. Like... it feels like there are no ubiquitous hits. Meh.

There are still ubiquitous hits, but country hits very rarely cross-over because they usually don't get airplay on other radio formats and there are a lot of people who don't pay attention to country music. There are some outliers in country, songs like Need You Now, Love Story, Old Town Road, and Shania's 90's/00's hits managed to be ubiquitous because they had mass crossover appeal, Last Night doesn't but it's having this success because it's huge with it's target demo.

What changes? Last Night was on top of streaming chart too for like 18 weeks.
