Calm Down would still hold stronger on radio and Interscope would still save the budget for a real strong song. I wonder who had the idea to release this mess of a song (Selena's team or Interscope's team) 1
Maroonx Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 She should've kept this... IDK why she did promo for a song that was only supposed to be a placeholder for the album... Oh well, onto the next one

corotinho Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Spotify Global 132. Selena Gomez - Single Soon 135. Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young Interesting to see Single Soon surpassing UTBY. She is probably doing better globally... 1

If Selena is really on 1989 she will have at least a cute little hit by the end of the year (even if it's not a single it will still be at least a little hit lmao) + the album next year being upbeat and matching 'single soon' vibe in some way -- better, ofc, but matching the vibe -- something that will make 'single soon' increase in streams. this won't turn into a major hit but it looks like it can have cute stats when it's all said and done tbh... 34 minutes ago, corotinho said: Yes. Selegend Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 apparently it had a pretty good callout scores debut on Pop, #5 on net positive!! and yet it's falling (not a lot, but it is) for 2 straight days INTERSCOPEEEE
Maroonx Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Well it's over, it was a fun month for "Single Soon" now onto the next one... Better yet, onto the incoming Taylor duet hehehe

It's already top15 on pop radio. callout should be higher, cause more people should be familiar with this song already.

But #5 on net positive on "rate the music (allaccess)" showed for me a lot of potential to grow. But the last time i TRULY kept track on radios was Revival so i may be a little lost. But i do remember back then that when it came to radio acceptance Net Positive was the thing that mattered the most, more than the "overall ranking", cuz Net Positive shows the potential of the song even if it's not that known yet (77%, for example). and i remember us celebrating Same Old Love being #1 for 3 weeks on Net Positive. I usually look at the Callouts thread here on ATRL But anyway, callout means nothing hahah WWIMF is top5 on overall callouts and behind Single Soon on radio charts. Radio will play what they want to play

This is surprising, utby is higher in the playlists and has a much larger radio audience, in addition to the daily posts on miley networks

family.guy123 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 This song is kind of a bop. Been listening to it lately. Does Swift have a writing credit on this by chance? I'm getting some Taylor vibes from some of the lyrics and can almost hear her background vocals in the chorus but I'm too lazy to check if any of the Norwegian sounding people in the credits aren't real people.
