Screen Violence and the Deluxe were very good, much better than the mixtape they released prior…

yeah well... it's cute if you're into ballads. I'm sure I will appreciate it when I'm in the mood, but won't listen to it regularly. it's just interesting to drop this as her debut solo single. also, why announce a tour so soon? is she going to sing unreleased songs no one knows + a piano ballad? I'm confused.

What were people expecting her to release? If she went solo it doesn’t make sense her material would sound like any CHVRCHES song lol so I’m glad she’s showing us a new side of her.

The chorus is kinda cute... outside that doubt I'd play this again. Hayley at least served indie fun realness (Mr Twin Sister, Solange, etc.) when she went solo. I don't need Lauren's singer/songwriter boring solo era esp when her songwriting is usually great in CHVRCHES as it is.
