If you don't see how this country song is tailored political propaganda for US conservatives and far-right you haven't been paying absolutely any attention for years. It's literally an anthem against taxes and welfare state and fuels the conspiracy of "the democrats are a social elite of pedophiles and manipulative billionaires who want to control your mind and your children". It's pretty clear why far-right clowns are rallying behind this song. The republican politicians have brainwashed their voters so much that they think they are fighting against the establishment instead of being exactly Rich Men living North of Richmond.

Why should poor people have to give their money to Joe Biden, Donald Trump, etc?

 

Only millionaires should pay tax. Poor people should pay ZERO tax. it's an absolute disgrace that poor people are forced to give money to rich people to spend on wars in Ukraine. Tax should be abolished except for the super rich.

Are you claiming someone who makes $400k a year is considered poor? I grew up in a household of 4 with a disabled single mom with a yearly income of $12k. Are you suggesting that someone making $12k a year and someone making $400k a year are part of the same class?

This is immoral and has to stop. Only millionaires should be paying tax. People who are working and just scraping by each month (which is the reality for millions of Americans, which is why this song is #1 on Apple Music atm) should not be giving their money to politicians to spend on whatever they like. Only the super rich who have too much money that they don't need should be paying taxes. We need to stop taxing the poor. Only the rich. Taxes are supposed to help the poor, not hurt the poor. Taxing the poor hurts the poor, it makes no sense, and it's really cruel. People who are struggling to make ends meet should not be taxed.

 

If you want families who are struggling to feed their children and pay their bills to give money to the Government, then I think that's why we disagree politically I guess. I think only the rich should pay taxes. There is PLENTY of money to do everything we need if the millionaires pay their fair share.
