youreyesgocold Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Why is that song selling so much? I can’t imagine it’s a mass orchestrated political statement or something. Is it genuinely having these sales? Like no shade but who buys music other than us girls and gay stans to manipulate charts? I don’t see a realistic situation where you have mass sales and 0 streams unless it’s fan orchestrated like with BTS
swiftawaywithme Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Any theories on why US Spotify is delayed? Is Demi behind all of this sabotage?

ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted August 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted August 15, 2023 These random MAGA conservatives learning how to cast an election ballot was one thing, but now they've learned how to buy and stream music??? This has gone TOO FAR. 2 1 2

B-Luke Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Taylor deliberately not doing anything to boost CS this week seemed odd at first but would further the theory that the song or the artist is a "plant", meaning she must have known she couldn‘t stand a chance and didn‘t budge. 1

It's the streaming era, big hits out of nowhere is not that weird anymore That doesn't mean he will have Olivia's career but anyone can have viral hits these days if they have a song that connects with a group of people.

Olivia rodrigo was already a known act, I mean we literally already have posts in this thread from the guys who seemed to engineer this guy and his song

Absolutely. We saw it in the later #1 weeks of “Anti-Hero” (when predictions were close for Drake, she released a remix late Thursday on her site, then the following week she released a Remix EP, and then a separate standalone remix not featured on the EP that was supposed to be the “Remix EP” ) Needless to say, she’s not releasing ANYTHING to bolster sales until her and Taylor Nation are 100% certain CS will go #1. The sad chart obsessed girl from Miss Americana is still in full swing 2
Tsuko Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 (edited) It's #1 on Apple Music? That's just insane. How is it possible? I mean it's a great song, but I didn't realise millions were listening, I thought it was just a small group of people doing this. I feel like Trump supporters are now basically a new major record label. Once they figure out how to get songs on the radio, it's over, they'll be competing with Interscope and Def Jam in churning out new artists and hit songs. I think having Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro praise your song is the modern-day equivalent of a pop star appearing on a late night chat show, it's just incredible promotion. Eóghan Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 what is racist about this song exactly? why do y'all immediately paint anyone who does something folky/country as racist? wtf is this lunatic mindset? just because some maga people decided to appropriate him and promote him doesn't mean the message or the artist are racist or problematic. one quick look at the lyrics and everyone and their mother on this planet can relate. except if you're rich of course. but I guess I got the atrl demo entirely wrong and everyone is loaded up in this ***** good for y'all 1

Wasn’t one of them banned in the past year?

Yeah but gays who watch Rush aren't championing it as a (faux) populist anthem exposing heterosexual pedophiles in their rejoicing of having a relatable bop like 99% of the people stanning this song are.
skeeyee Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 The problem is y’all chose the wrong song to mass support Here you go

Huh? Some of you are not even trying to hide anymore being flagrant right wing trolls. The song that mocks people oh welfare and references a conspiracy that Bill Clinton killed Jeffrey Epstein to hide being a pedophile isnt...overtly right wing? Dkdjdjjd shut the **** up.

You think they’re going to “appropriate” a gay man of color just because his song is good? The song is **** and so is the message (that really is a tirade against immigrants and people of color disguised as a song about protecting “our own” or whatever) and those who stand behind it. We could dissect the song and point out the many lines that straight up racist or problematic at the least
