There's no video. She decided to follow the Renaissance print. :clack:

Honestly, maybe the whole “let fan response decide the single” thing means someone on her team finally convinced her to stop choosing her own singles and we’ll get a video in like a month now that a single was chosen

I'm so glad that Now That We Don't Talk is getting some love and looks like it'll debut at no.2. It was my immediate favorite after the first listen on release night (west coast).

Her next tour date is on the 9th . So if she would have to film the music video now , in order to release it that quickly .

So I don’t think we will get a mv.

Hi sweeties

1989 tv was released while I was overseas on holiday with my man for our 5 year anniversary.

unfortunately that trip was when we decide to break up due to longstanding issues that came to light on our anni trip so the album release is kinda marred with this painful period rn

I only had time to listen to the album and vault tracks when I was alone in bathtub and say don’t go was my immediate favourite and it is relevant to my life rn too

I only managed to listen on headphones on the flight home and I cried when listening to clean tv with silent tears down my cheek when he was asleep beside me on the plane. I remember crying to clean when OG 1989 came out in 2014 and now in 2023 I’m crying again.

1989 is such a special album to me and I’m so glad I have Taylor’s music as I navigate through this now transitional period after the end of my 5 year relationship :chick3:

wishing you all the love and healing as you go through this time  when you're drowning, that's when you'll finally breathe  :heart2:

clean was my immediate favorite upon my first listen back in 2014. but as i was just on the precipice of turning 15 and in my freshman year of school, i didn't resonate with it in any deep or powerful way. but now, being a 24 year old (i just had my birthday a few days ago :oh:) who has been through some sh*t, i really am going through it listening to the tv. what is so powerful about the song is that it can apply to any situation. obviously she wrote it about dealing with heartbreak, but a listener can apply it to whatever they're going through - whether that be addiction, loss, whatever. for me, i am reminded of my battle with my mental health and a lot of traumas i've worked really hard on getting over. the taylor's version has solidified clean as a top 10 song for me :cries:

the rain came pouring down

when i was drowning, that's when i could finally breathe

and by morning, gone was any trace of you

i think i am finally clean

I'm still holding on hope of a Lover deluxe release and a Cruel Summer music video.

These are her best vault tracks without a doubt. They are all so good, but my top 3 are definitely Say Don't Go, Is It Over Now and Now That We Don't Talk :heart2: I can't stop listening!

HDD updated their article

"With two reporting days to go in the chart week, Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (Republic) is within striking distance of Midnights’ 1.58m first week. Swift has already surpassed the 1.3m of 1989’s original 2014 release."

I think a music video for Cruel Summer now that has achieved everything is out of question and she'll rightfully move to something else but with all of this re-recordings and "from the vault" going on my hope is that to celebrate important anniversaries for her original albums since Lover she will release anniversary editions with a couple of from the vault songs (Lover already has one but would be great to have a proper release containg it).

Also because I don't think she's going to acknowledge anniversaries for the stolen versions and it would be kind of weird to do it for the re-recordings considering the music was not really the focus point here.

Cruel Summer MV wont happen, but hopefully it atleast gets a tour video like New Romantics as Cruel Summer is pretty much THE eras tour song

On another note apparently Stephen Colbert is announcing a guest for his talkshow airing on November 13th today and it might be Taylor (yes i know shes on tour that day, but the show was filmed in October)

Is It Over Now? is kinda the most swiftian Taylor Swift song ever written, isn’t it?

However much I love the 1989 re-release it still doesn’t hold a candle to reputation.
I hope that the vault songs on that project are way more exaggerated and add to the storytelling because there is so much that could be added.

The Great War and Cornelia Street might pose a threat ( not to mention something from folkmore ), but yeah, it’s Swiftian on point.

I can't believe how many times I've been streaming Lena TV :gaycat6:

The original used to be one of those songs that I probably appreciated more than I streamed (ie top 6 on the album but not something I'd listen to more than like once a quarter) but the TV has such a lush and enticing instrumental (I swear she and Jack put crack in the new little details) that I've been listening like every 20 minutes since it came out and finding some new element in the background to appreciate :suburban:

I need to get back to streaming IION so it holds on the Spotify charts but there's just magic in Lena that I keep ******* coming back to

Clean is really THAT song.
