Antonoff definitely asks less than Martin when It's about royalties percentage.

But if he continues to produce big songs for her at this rate probably this could change.

Also there are songs that antonoff produced without taking writing credits (lover for example).

Max Martin always asks for writing credits. I  have no doubt this is a some kind of pre contract agreement so if you want him he's also taking the songwriting credits even if he makes for some song only the production work.

She basically always spilts credits equally which is industry standard. There are few exceptions, Liz Rose and features but it holds true for the vast majority of her songs. So its  50-50 for Jack and Taylor  or 33%- 33%-33% with MM & Shellback.  Here is a nice graph for debut to lover.

What makes Jack different is that he doesn't charge as much upfront as MM & Shellback who will charge at least 100K if not 200K per a track in addition to their credits. In addition, he is willingly to produce without writing credits.

For Max Martin,  it doesn't make sense to work with him if you don't want him to contribute to song writing   His specialty is vocal melodies and vocal  layering/production.  So MM focusing on just production and not writing is almost pointless.   Shellback and the other producers he partner with are the ones who primarily create the instrumentals. Nowadays, he actually does a lot of writing without being a producer for the song.

iion and ntwdt smashing:jonnycat: I swear she's never losing (except for ****)

We need to stop that stupid album units argument. HDD’s mid-week predictions is coming in 12 hours and it will reveal everything

The vocal production in the first 3-4 tracks it’s awful. Track 5 onwards I enjoyed tho.

I swear if her team didn’t ship the preorders :dies:

For the Americans who preordered, can you give this post a  like if you order has shipped and a confused or thumbs down if it hasn't

Max Martin is also heavily involved in the melodies of the pop songs they did together, which Taylor thanked him for in her Songwriter Icon Award speech in 2021. He definitely deserved the songwriting credits if he was involved in the melodies. The way Swifties keep diminishing how much Max has done for Taylor is wild to me.

Yeah while Style TV lost around 10% since yesterday, not really a good sign (I guess for you it is in a weird way)

before someone calls this out for being bOtChEd, this is very expected. Most of the GP might have them in playlists and won’t make the change immediately like the fans do…

Swifties just need a dramatic reason for why they don't work together anymore and they keep misinterpreting Taylor's compliment to Jack.

In my personal opinion, MM & Shellback were basically her mentors in going pop.  I think Taylor believes that she learned enough from them and can now make her music independently with less involved producers songwriting wise.

And anyway, this album contains her biggest hits, it was always going to be the one that would survive the TV the best.

Yeah even for fans it takes a while for them to switch out the songs in their playlists. The biggest initial effect is that for when someone decides to stream the album , they stream the TV not the og.

It took a while for Love Story, I Knew You Were Trouble to decline significantly.

The originals don’t just drop straight away. SN is still reaching new lows since the release of the TV

True, but also she said during that same speech she was excited to learn more from them the next time they work together again. They don't have bad blood at all. Swifties making up scenarios in their head and dragging Max for no reason is so weird to me.

Is It Over Now & Bejeweled :
1st day: 4.8M & 5M
2nd day: 2.9M & 2.8M

3rd day: 2.3M & 2.2M

4th day: 2.8M & 2.5M

#1 is on lock :hippo: (stop believing TOTC's conservative prediction)

we need them to be conservative though so the US Swifties keep fighting.

And Bejewled have a video and some website sales for the instrument also.

Maybe she's shipping just enough copies from the pre-sales to hit 1M and is saving the rest to cushion the 2nd week drop? :lakitu:

True. 800k is nothing to scoff at. I just hoped it would manage to beat the 1.29M sales of the OG version.

Still very impressive though for a re-recording. :clap3:

Well.. it’s not that because even Speak Now tv sold 250k per billboard on first day and 1989 clearly outsold her with all its versions.

do we think she will announce reputation in Argentina?

True, true. I remembered the learning part but not the working together again part. I think it fits through . She learned  a lot but not everything from teachers. Enough to strike out on her own but with some things left to learn if she ever wants to return.

For last, way too many swifties want Taylor to make 1989 2.0 so they need someone to blame for Taylor not creating it. Some blame Jack and some blame Max Martin and most forgot Shellback.

I think it will be in São Paulo

Also that stream increase for IION and some of the other vault tracks! Thinking we might have a multiweek number 1 producer on our hands if Taylor can fight off BTS Army next week.
