Girlies I listened to this with good headphones now (listened with haggard ones this morning at work)…I take back everything this is botched beyond saving ☠️

WTNY sounds like they put it thru a Taylor Swift AI vocal translator

But just because it hits #1 doesnt mean its good, she could release anything atm and it would smash
Or would you say Drakes last album was amazing just because he hit #1 on AM in like 6 hours or so :suburban:
(and im not even flaming 1989 TV here, but chart success =/ quality)
And its not just ATRL where i've seen criticism, popheads and Taylor Swift subreddits  also have very mixed opinions

Does FATD have multiple 100 reviews like 1989TV?

I don't get why they made S!ut the single, when Say Don't Go feels like such an obvious single choice? I mean, I love the former, but SDG is screaming lead single

Overall I’m pretty impressed with it - other than a few songs (all of which are my favorites on the album :gaycat6:) the recreation feels quite faithful to the original.

Shake It Off (TV) is SO vastly improved I can deal with the Style (TV) botching. :WAP:

All these meltdowns about Style and it sounds fine :suburban: you people are so overdramatic, and it's not like the original got deleted from existence so you can listen to that one if you don't like the tv :ryan3:

Can you be a little more specific? How exactly does it sound like that?

I do kind of expect ****! to have a shot at #1 at this point. Most of her prior AM #1s went #1; the only ones that didn’t were blocked by the lead single of their own album. With the digital single, it should soar past the other 1989 tracks on the Hot 100 as long as it’s also the top track on Spotify. I think the only real question is whether it overcomes Cruel Summer’s radio points, and that should be doable since CS isn’t too incredibly strong and a rebalance just occurred. I don’t know enough about what kind of streams and sales it needs, but ****! is off to a very strong start and I’m excited to see Hot 100 predictions play out.

Let's not discount Bad Blood. It's the only one with the second version and it's the only one not available on streaming. If a lot of TV tracks have similar streaming numbers, the digital sales of Bad Blood remix might give it a strong edge. The remix is already #1 on iTunes and the solo version is at #12.

That’s true - it has a strong shot as well. I think those two are going to be in the top three with CS, unless one of them collapses quickly throughout the week!

The Higher vocals on New Romantics are okay. The Chorus Sounds Like a New instrumental. Way too fast. The Ah is the new WEEE

There were no mouse clicking sounds in the original Shake It Off at 01:13. I checked. :celestial3:

And you understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars
And why I’ve spent my whole life trying to put it into words
