Badgalbriel Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Hopefully, the 1989 announcement tonight will give this enough points to be #1 next week.
Katamari Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 the first number one the lover era is a song that wasn't released a single until years later i just know shes internally fuming that her single choices during the initial era backfired! 3
littlebodybigheart Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 get those 25 sales but nah for real, this is impressive. the way this song has persevered despite her practically ignoring it is so funny. 1
By the Water Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Fans should have waited until her team showed signs of pushing the song to #1 to buy it but whatever

Forevermore. Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I don't know if this means that much in terms of #1 chances.. iTunes is pretty much a dead platform and Taylor has not relied on iTunes for sales in at least over half a decade. But I guess it's good either way.

She’s fuming but we’ll keep on celebrating Imagine an AU where she dethroned OTR and thinks we want more of ME!ss The folkmore erasure the AOTY3 erasure the eras tour success erasure I couldn’t stand it 1
Green Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 It will probably reach the #1 on August 21st if there isn't any big release this friday (I know Olivia will release a single but it's probably just a promo single)
Red Velvet Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Why is she refusing to give it the last push to #1 She is usually on top of this stuff
Ger Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Oh wow, it's coming for the summit on Hot 100 organically!
Sad Serenade Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 (edited) A smash on every platform Edited August 9, 2023 by Sad Serenade
Tusk Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Taylor is the only one to be in 10 eras at once and succeed!
Maroonx Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 people buying the song this week instead of waiting until next week... smh... I think it will have a better chance at #1 next week.

Cruel Summer was supposed to be a single but was scraped along with the tour when Covid hit. Regardless everything aligned perfectly

Not at all, if anything i'm sure she's happy about it since she wouldn't be having the imperial era she's having right now if it wasn't for her mistakes of the past. Also, CS would not have smashed as hard if it came out in 2019, her popularity wasn't as strong back then. The stars perfectly aligned for it to smash in 2023. 1
