According to Sony Corp‘s results, Sony Music Entertainment‘s ten biggest recorded music projects in calendar Q2 2023 quarter (ex-artists signed in Japan), in order of global revenue generation, were as below.

One interesting tidbit from this list: The Top 3 are exactly the same as in Sony’s previous fiscal quarter (calendar Q1 2023):

2. Miley Cyrus, Endless Summer Vacation
3. Harry Styles, Harry’s House
4. Luke Combs, Gettin’ Old
5. Daft Punk, Random Access Memories
6. Foo Fighters But Here We Are 
7. Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE
8. Lil Durk, Almost Healed
9. Depeche Mode, Memento Mor
10. Harry Styles, Fine Line

What do Taylor and Selena fans have to do with this ? Like everyone on ATRL was dragging Miley when ESV released

I CANNOT with how Mr Harry STAYS selling like hotcakes...Sony/Columbia struck gold with that one especially with how FL is sorta a modern classic and consistently tops Amazon's vinyl sales charts

Wow at Depeche Mode, catalog consumption is really where the money is at these days. 

 

Flowers alone clearly made enough money for Columbia to the point they couldn't care less about Miley not bothering to promote the album. It sucks for the fans, but they're probably more than satisfied with what they've already made.

Flowers is a monstrous global hit, not really surprising to me that it made more profit than other acts' entire albums.
