Probably didn't help that his parents were in the courtroom screaming and crying about how corrupt our legal system is back when he got convicted.

I’m really just here waiting for more footage of them crying to drop. :duca:

This is entirely his own fault. Megan was ready to let it go and he antagonized the crap out of her leading too this mess and him making every wrong decision possible.

Well deserved.

Also I don't wanna hear about Iggy ever again ( especially with her only loyal stan on this site officially unstanning her)

I did not realize that this was still an ongoing case. Were there people who were still doubting Megan in the past few months? I hope she goes after every single one of them in her next album.

Criminal justice reform does not extend to violent crime, especially gun crime. Using a death machine against an unarmed, unthreatening person deserves a death sentence, you cannot rehabilitate sociopaths.

It’s incredible how he choose to make the worst decision at every chance and it in turn gave him what’s probably the worse outcome from all this. Never underestimate a man’s ego I guess

And I hope every major celebrity that expressed support for this man ******* rots

I know his scalp mad asf after hearing 10 years.

OT: Iggy's remarks are idiotic, but hello let's celebrate the fact Tory Lanez will finally face legal consequences for his actions BEHIND BARS. 🔒

This is all so sad. Sad for Megan having to live out this trauma with public scrutiny and criticism. Sad for Torey for being such an idiot, what a waste of 10 years. Sad for Iggy, in every aspect of her public life she’s been on the wrong side of history and she really doesn’t want us to forget it. Sad for Tricky Stewart who went from working with Beyoncé to this mighty morphing Australian. Shame shame shame

Something about Ms. Cake making this thread is sending me :dies:

We love a stan who isn’t delusional about their fave and holds them accountable!

Megan Thee Stallion was shot?!!!!????!!!???

He was recklessly shooting rounds of an unregistered gun and the bullets grazed her feet. People think that because the bullets “just” grazed her it doesn’t “count” as shooting her, but he definitely was aiming at the ground towards her feet. I’m glad the scum is in jail.

She had to have surgery on both feet to have actual bullet fragments removed.

I think Lanez was more than just being an idiot. He acted with recklessness and with malice, both during and after the shooting. Megan tried to go out of her way to move on from the assault and Lanez rubbed her mercy in her face and he essentially sicked the public on her until she had no choice but to seek legal justice. There's nothing redeemable there.

Someone I know who works in the industry said that he didn’t do it but idk if that person is being bias or not. People kills me talembout they can’t say anything cause of NDAs, but still want to tell you bits and pieces. If you can’t tell the whole story then shut up

People really just be saying anything lol. That's not even shade to you, because I personally know people who've tried to say the same as your friend ("NDAs....top secret....etc").

All BS. He for sure sure did it.

This whole case has been so educational for me in how dumb huge chunks of the GP can be. Like, I've almost felt sheltered to how dumb people can be. At first it shocked me, now I just shake my head in somewhat of a numb-to-it-all state.

Let's scene set.

Tory Lanez is an actual flop. Literally, speaking. He's not a Drake, not a Jay-Z, not a Weeknd, not a huge star that the whole "conspiracy" angle could even easily apply. Hell, even Megan isn't the scale of star that the concept of intervening forces feels plausible.

Th evidence against him was overwhelming. Plus it was telling that, with his freedom on the line, he didn't sing like a canary about who shot Megan (the only other options being Kelsey or the bodyguard). Factually she was shot and did not shoot herself.

As a POC myself, "street code" doesn't even come into it either when it comes to Tory "possibly" protecting anyone else. What's more, bizarrely, when applicable, it tends to be more of a man protecting man thing than ever taking the L for a woman (in this case, Kelsey). So, the question Tory failed (to this day) to answer was: if you didn't shoot her, tell us who did".

Because he did shoot Megan (and there was no way around that), he simply mounted a case that was more about creating reasonable doubt.

There are for sure missing pieces to the story (e.g. dialogue in the car, relationship contexts etc), but nothing that fundamentally changes the fact that...he shot her.

The back-bending people have been doing to argue otherwise or suggest he somehow deserves a lesser sentence has been so disheartening and flat out weird. Once again reminds that patriarchy is real, misogynoir is real, and people's ability to treat celebrity headlines like a movie they are watching (rather than real life) is...real.

Lock him ahp!

As horrible as this process was for Megan there’s something so satisfying about getting justice when you have so many people against you
