digital copies sold from the artist's site will no longer count for anything, most especially for the Single Chart. And merch alone won't count for anything, except for Olivia's pockets..

tbh they should’ve just kept this as a surprise along with the album and drop it in december. it’s too oversaturated now. the entire top 10 is filled with female songs smashing and this gets overlooked low key.

i feel like it could’ve had pretty great legs through the summer and vampire going into the end of summer/ start of fall push

 

it would’ve been kinda fun for her to start the era with a weird rock/pop song and then do the ballad rather than the dl/ g4u pipeline

I think they didn’t know for sure or not if it would click with the GP, and that it would be too risky for a lead. Hell, they even thought it was too risky to be the official second single, that’s why they haven’t sent it to radio.
 

It’s obviously clicked well, but they probably wanted to go with a safer more sure fire #1 for the lead.
