Honey you are misunderstanding everything. And yes you do think Lorde is alternative because I remember you arguing with me because I called Melodrama a pop record….. VIVIDLY. I don’t need Olivia to be an alt girl because its superior to pop. She already has shown that she has interest in alt music and would take her music down that path. The only people surprised when she brings these flavors to her pop music are those that undersell them. She has made very clear where her taste lies and she will accommodate her music to that the more time passes. She’s 19 and she’s already exploring things her pop peers are not doing….. she’s touching references her peers (Tate, Sabrina, GAYLE, etc) are not. So YES i will praise her for bringing these references to her music and not delivering dull records
