The production and mixing is top notch for the whole album

Just finished my first listen and I'm a little overwhelmed dddd so many new songs to process. I need more listens to fully judge and get into everything.

 

I liked almost all of the songs, but the one that really stuck with me was Skull and Bones  Really enjoyed the Freestyle and FTG as well! 

The only ones that didn't really click with me for now were Ouchies and Often.

 

Also, I think the songs they picked to release before were great choices. Those 4 tracks are still some of the standouts, especially Attention and Balut!

I would give Scarlet a 9/10.

 

Highlights to me are: Can’t Wait (best song on the album), Agora Hills & Skull and Bones.

The only two tracks I didn’t love are: Often and Low Life. They’re not bad, but just a bit forgetable (alike Balut).

If i really had to, I'd say Amala. But it's honestly a lot different from that as well. 

 

It is kinda divided in two halves, with the first one being more "in your face" and the second one being more mellow and vibe-y. The second half is definitely more on the "artistic" side she was referring to these past months, it has a couple of fillers there IMO but they also might be growers.

 

Great record overall, definitely one you need more time with. Her creativity never went away, she has many distinct flows throughout the record and some of them indeed feel more alternative, remind me of something Coco & Clair Clair or Kitty would release.
