Nope, this was yet another amazing episode. The rusical was EVERYTHING! So well done. Runways were fire too, Meta won this easily! That runway, I gagged. And the lip sync was fierce. Sad to see Nyomi go, she brought a lot of heart and neck to the competition.

So far this is literally one of the best seasons of Drag Race I’ve ever seen. This is one of the strongest casts ever too. Almost everyone is excelling in every single challenge and the lip syncs have been excellent too, DESPITE THE FACT THEY’RE MAKING THESE GIRLS LIP SYNC IN ENGLISH, WHICH IS THEIR SECOND OR THIRD LANGUAGE!

 

And the icing on the cake is that the vibes are right. The contestants seem to be fully engaged and they seem to respect the hosts. Nobody is acting defeated. Also, Tessa Testicle is a top tier lip sync assassin.

 

Seriously, some of the best drag performers in the world live in Germany. I cannot overstate how strong this cast is so far. This season is BRUTAL to compete on. One of the toughest ever. I am so impressed and excited.

The fact Kelly and Pandora just gave some of the best Rusical performances EVER, and the win STILL rightfully went to someone else!

 

Like, the fact that you can hand in a winning performance on this season, and still not win because everyone else is giving winning performances too!

Kelly was the best in the challenge, but if we consider the runway, I do think Metamorkid deserved that win!

Now I didn't really see Victoria in the top, but whatever - she did do pretty well. I just thought Lorelei and maybe even Lele did better.

 

As for the bottom, I actually thought Naomi was the best out of the three, so I would've put Tessa and Yvonne in the bottom. 

And then in the lipsync, they both gave a lot while being a bit messy, but again, I kinda liked Naomi better.... Oh well.

I also think Naomi did better but honestly Tessa does kinda give main character energy I do want more of her.  
 

I thought Tessa did the best of the 3 bottom girls in the challenge BUT Yvonne had easily the best runway.  Weird how the judges didn’t like her runway but liked her performance more but I guess the end result was the same.

Damn.  maybe there’s just irl energy that doesn’t translate to tv because I have zero idea how Tessa shantayed for that one.  I like her, but I thought Lele ate her up.  Did Lele not know the lyrics or something and I just didn’t notice? 
 

otherwise amazing episode. Nikita was amazing, runway was great especially Lorelei and pandora.  Victoria is mother.

I'm really enjoying the season, but I don't get the hype of "one of the best ever".
It is a very strong cast, but I think the season lacks personality and uniqueness. It feels like I'm watching Drag Race US/Can w/ queens speaking in german.
Nothing was adapted to german, when it comes to the "catchphrases", the lipsync songs are in english.
If that happened w/ Drag Race Brasil, brazilians would throw a bomb at Wow's studio. lol

btw I'm really sad that a lot of people gave up on Drag Race Br before the 4th episode. It was a rough start but it's truly amazing now (we had one of the best design challenges ever).

That's not really related to Drag Race Germany in particular, though. The German-speaking countries are very strongly influenced by Anglophone (or well, mostly American) media even down to the colloquial language, catchphrases etc. that people (especially Gen Z and younger) use, and that's even more so the case in drag culture. And as far as the lipsync songs are concerned... most people would describe the majority of German music as something between cringe and utterly embarrassing, so unless the queens are given cult classics by Nena or Falco or whatever, I doubt that would really work.

The fact that the results were so polarizing we had 2 winners for that reason  Happy Pandora got another win.

Germany stays SH*TTING on every other franchise this year, I'm sorry but it's true

 

Reading challenge was very funny, actually laughed out loud a few times despite the few reads. Kelly definitely deserved.

 

Cute challenge and weird ass runway theme, but somehow it worked because the girls are just that talented. Results were a bit of a mess though just because they chose two different winners. While Nikita deserved her win, my girl Pandora was nowhere near the top this week and the runway alone shouldn't be enough to grant a win.

 

Bottom placements were a bit weird too: Tessa was safe in my opinion and I would've 100% made Victoria lip sync over LéLé. Tessa demolished once again, a lip sync ASSASSIN. She better start getting high placements though because I fear they might send her packing the next time she's in the bottom.

Why was Lele in the bottom 2? The one critique she got on her performance was positive

I'd rather see more of her than Tessa. I hope they're lipsynching to 99 Luftballons in the finale.

This show just continues to be pure joy. There's just a refreshing lack of forced drama. And like others said, all contestants are talented as hell. Sure I have my faves, but honestly, at this point they can all take it and I wouldn't be mad. The ads actually made me laugh, especially Nikita's group.

DEVASTATED that Lele left  She was one of my favs and she clearly had so much more to show... Her being in the bottom made 0 sense either!

 

Honestly, the episode was still entertaining, but probably my least fave so far.

Didn't really love the challenge, the runway was a cute idea but really hard to execute well, and the judging was not great either.

 

As much as I am not connecting with her, Nikita winning made sense.

Now Pandora I stan, but that win was really weird. Her runway was great, but she was just kinda fine in the challenge. Lorelei's runway was just as good imo, if not better, so idk why they did this weird "runway win" this week. But whatever, they keep chopping my fav queens, so let me just be happy Pandora is probably not going anywhere  

 

Lorelei / Pandora / Metamorkid are the only girls left who I stan, so they better not get rid of them  Yvonne and Kelly are cute too, just not quite on the same level.

I think Tessa is a very dynamic performer, and she seems very comfortable on the stage. Tessa fits everything from comedy to stunts into every lip sync, but she also paces it all out very well.

 

I think Tessa rightfully won every lip sync so far because Victoria, Naomi and now LeLe all had worse pacing and control than she did. Tessa’s opponent always seems frantic or repetitive while Tessa does one unexpected thing after another.

That said, Tessa is probably my favorite contestant so far but her fashion and especially her makeup were nowhere near ready for Drag Race. Tessa is a very strong performer, but it’s a shame because those talents are a little wasted when she doesn’t seem to know how to use makeup to emphasize her face. A big reason Nina’s Finally lip sync is so good is because Nina’s makeup and hair drew the audience’s eyes to her face. Tessa desperately needs some of that.

Tessa is a competent performer but there were large portions in her past 2 lip syncs where you could literally sense the defeat coming out of her.  Dead in the eyes, hunched back, lack of emotion.  Then randomly she’ll get in the zone for 5/10 seconds then revert back.

I’ve seen a lot of comments that Tessa looks unfocused in the face, and I really think it’s just because of her lack of makeup. I think a lot of the expression in lip syncs is actually painted onto the performer’s faces. A similar, but opposite, example is Malaysia in season 15. Malaysia did the opposite of Tessa and painted too heavily/harshly, which also made Malaysia seem dead in the face when really it’s just that performers usually rely on makeup to help exaggerate their facial expressions and neither Malaysia or Tessa had that.

For someone who doesn't have that info, it doesn't translate that way. 'Cause I don't see the queens speaking a lot in english. Even in Drag Race Phillipines where english is almost like a second language, they have their own catchphrases. That's why it came out that way for me.

As for the lipsync songs, I guess it's better this way then lol
