The "Love?" era was a flop.

It was not a flop. She did flop for several years leading up to the Love? Era, but her comeback which was kicked off by On The Floor and her judging on American Idol was referred to as one of the greatest comebacks by LA Times and also Billboard referred to it as her “huge comeback year”.

We were measuring song success on iTunes sales back then and after weeks of Bad Romance by Gaga being #1, On The Floor was able to dethrone that song from #1 upon release. On The Floor became the #12th biggest selling song that year too.

Brought in specifically by a label to mess with another female artist (they was mad Nicki was getting a monopoly on female rap and Tommy Mottola was mad at Mariah for… no real reason)

Girl... Do your homework and then come back to me.

The fan fiction. :skull:  J.Lo was recruited by Tommy and Sony to capitalize on your Nuyorican background and to be a female answer to Ricky Martin. Her first demo was in Spanish. The fact that she got some Mariah leftovers is just collateral damage after Mariah's relationship with Tommy ended. She's also not the only one to get them. This was actually modeled after original Mariah balladeer/midtempo image:

Both Nicki and Mariah are talented. The other two are just plants pushed by the industry. These are just facts.

And Mariah and Nicki weren't pushed by the industry? Mariah began a relationship with Tommy while he was MARRIED and it was well-known he did everything he could to make her successful including chart manipulation and plagiarism to achieve #1s. :skull: It's no surprise her chart dominance ended after leaving her power label boss husband.
