Vermillion Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Welp. Getting my cases confused. Nevermind I guess.

Nikki Haley or Tim Scott can definitely beat Biden in a general election. Democrats lowkey want Trump to be the nominee because Trump being the Republican nominee will get Biden re-elected because there is no way Independent voters will vote Trump with all these indictments. Also, all of Trumps endorse U.S. Senate candidates couldn’t win in Arizona or Georgia during the 2022 midterm and 2024 will be no different if Trump is on the ballot. 1 2

It's getting to the point where the GP will start ignoring the indictments and Trump's "they are persecuting me" narrative starts to gain traction.

Mike91 Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Yeah, republicans are not winning another GE election anytime soon. They MIGHT have a chance in 2028 because there will likely continue to be a split in the party amongst Millenials/Gen Z and older voters but even then republicans used that strategy up in 2016.

He goes to jail if he’s convicted in a court of law, in a trial. Could take anywhere between 1-2 years. If he wins the presidency, he can pardon himself from federal crimes so no jail. He has charges in NY and (likely) Georgia coming up, where if he’s convicted, he can’t do anything about it. That sums it up 1 1

Vermillion Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 I don't dictate how OP's should be run, but on this subject, I can understand anyone that's not a lawyer or constitutional scholar expressing their exhaustion about it when it comes to the differences between the cases and charges vs. convictions - that would logically extend to thread creation as well. 1 1
