Conservatives are conflicted on Barbie, unsure if they have to like it or hate it

So most of you already know about embarrassing Ben Shapiro, Candince Owens and Lauren Chen video meltdowns on how "woke" and "feminist propaganda" the new Barbie movie is, but I have also seen more lesser known conservative give more nuanced and pretty based takes on how Barbie is actually a complex social commentary movie and isn't meant to bash men. Now one of the biggest conservative commentators made a video explaining exactly that

I suggest to turn on your ad-blocker so you can block ads on her video so she doesn't earn any money hihihi, but yeah, she also points out other fellow conservatives who had reasonable takes on Barbie. At least one good video on her vomit channel :pukey:

Looks like another L for old, out-of-touch conservatives and incels when even one of your own in the community have to call out your dumb takes and explain two and two together for them :thing:

I do not like this woman, but she's right in saying that many things are genuinely not that deep. However, when you approach them with a preconceived narrative and agenda already fixed in your mind, it doesn't matter whether the film 'is' or 'is not' what you thought; your mind has already been set, a pattern has been developed. I remember watching a podcast recently, and one of the guys said that if Mulan were released today, it would genuinely cause mass-protests from conservatives, viewing it as 'trans'/'LGBTQ' propaganda, because they would not be able to see the full story and instead only see, and then vilify, what they want to see. These people do not live in reality; they are deluded.

One thing I have to sincerely wonder... do conservatives have jobs? Like jobs that actually require time input?

Between the gender conforming chocolate, the "woke" beer, the "masc" M&M, and now this... How do they get the time?

Could you imagine working all day and then coming back to argue about Barbie being radfem propaganda when it likely barely goes beyond the "more female CEO girlbosses" route? :deadbanana:

What a sad, sad way to live.

They're just existing on Earth to complain, b*tch and moan about literally everything. From a little kiss on Lightyear to beers to a black mermaid to... Barbie.

Just k*ll yourself already if you hate modern society THAT bad.

This. So many classics would be slammed for being “ruined by wokeness” by conservatives if released today. It’s almost hard to find one that wouldn’t have at least some aspects that could be interpreted that way.

Honestly this. Remember when Mario was bashed for Peach being an independent girlboss

And then all of them switched like a baguette when it made a Billions? And even claimed it as "Anti woke"?

"Woke" completely lost all its meanings and now an empty buzzword for the conservatives to use and shame whatever they don't like or approve, which also changes based on the weather of the day, or how much money can it make.
