Straights are over. Femininity is back in the mainstream

Straight males exclusively listen to male artists (particularly rap music). But, in recent years, we can see that male rap as a genre, which used to dominate every music culture and conversations, is slowly dying. Even the biggest rap artists can't make mega-smashes so easily like they did back in 2017. Look at Travis Scott, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone. They all underperformed or straight up bombed.

Female Rap on the other hand is FLOURISHING like never before.

The most successful movie of the year is not going to be a Superhero movie or a new sequel or a new film from a ultra-macho franchise like Top Gun. It is BARBIE. It is not just a hit movie. it is a cultural phenomenon that is taking over every social media and is a ******* EVENT for all the girlies and the gays to dress up as ridiculous as they want.

Likewise the cultural event that is taking everyone by storm in the music world is Taylor Swift's The ERAs Tour. Taylor Swift is the biggest artist on the planet and no one even comes close. Taylor Swift, the brand like Barbie, is extremely feminine. The factor that fueled the success of both of these brands are young women. Both the movie and the music are specifically made by prolific women with a female audience in the mind unlike 90% of the other movies and music that target men. Even most of the successful music made by other women cater to the male gaze where the primary goal is serving sex. But Taylor has never served sex. Her music is hyper-specific to female emotions and this can be seen by how many female fans she has who relate to her music.

With these examples can we say that straights are over and we are entering a new era where the mainstream culture is dominated by gays and women?

Sure. As if pieces of sh*t like Jason Aldean aren't seeing gargantuan success.

The #1 song next week is gonna be by a MAGA country artist, two of the biggest hits in the country are by other male country artists, Gunna has another smash hit with fukumean, no actual gay artists are getting hits, and Oppenheimer is also a cultural event in its own right.

So no.

We’re somehow experiencing the worst pushback and discrimination in decades and the biggest wins for the gays/girls in terms of pop culture and openly feminine/gay moments. Everything’s so explosive and volatile right now. It’ll be an interesting time period in history to analyse (but we’ll be dead from global warming before anyone gets the chance to)

You say this as if there aren’t three country songs by racist white men in the BB top 5 :toofunny3:

We'll ignore the MAGA crowd like the rest of the country does. The last rap song to go #1 was Drake's one week #1 Jimmy Cooks which was released an year ago. Will the Gunna song become the first male rap song to go #1 this year?

I won't bet on it seeing the only rap album to go #1 this year is Lil Uzi Vert with barely 150k sps whose last album sold 300k first week.

The fact is that Barbie and Taylor are stomping on their male competitors including the MAGAs.

No it’s gotten worse actually, but I appreciate your positivity and hopefully a change will come around in the next year.

I can't even begin to express what a pathetic weirdo you are. Those separate examples mean nothing. A woman still only makes 70 cents for a man's dollar.
