Tomorrow 2 literally went 2x platinum, was the most viewed YT female rap video of 2022 (and yes, over Tuka Ticki or whatever).

This year so far (2023) I think is the only one Cardi has not gotten a Top 10 hit.

While not as big, PIODF is like in the Top 5 of both Urban and Rhythmic radio right now. Let's be serious.

She's been killing it this year. Realistically, she didn't have the infrastructure and should've been done after standing up to Nicki and being relentlessly bullied by her Stans but she persevered and decided to flourish instead :clap3: I think she'll continue to find success if she keeps up the work

bish where. I said it's not reasonable to compare a girl in her debut extended play era with girls that been out for half a decade with several projects under their belt. and yes, ice spice's achievements are still worth to be celebrated. name one other rap girl that had the momentum ice spice has in their debut mixtape or ep era. yall act like "Like..?" is her debut album or something.

Then why compare her to girls that are EONS bigger and more acclaimed than she is? But go ahead flip the script and play the victim like GRAAAAH :deadbanana2:

i thought your ranking was based on current developments in female rap luv, hence i was shocked by the latto, cardi and megan placements in your top list whilst excluding the good sis ISIS. now lets end this !

This is something that the European Nicki fans can’t seem to comprehend.

RAP songs don’t perform like POP songs. Tomorrow 2 will end up bigger than Super Freaky Girl in US because it is a rap hit while SFG was an frontloaded moderate pop hit. Its sales and streams have been more consistent past the first month of release.

Ice Spice has yet to claim a plaque as large as Thot ****, let alone Savage or WAP. The lack of comprehension of Hip-Hop charts is laughable.

Has Ice Spice had a Tap In yet? Let alone a Savage :rip:

Nope. Highest is Gold for Munch and In Ma Hood.

But there is hope that Boy’s a Liar (pop) might reach 2X Platinum eventually...! But of course, pop features (like Girls Like You; 10X Platinum) don’t count! :duck:

Y’all are funny maybe I should start stanning a rap girl :rip:

Oop! So no platinum singles? No solo hits? No #1 Collabs? No awards? No radio #1s? No acclaim?

Probably OUT within the next month at best. Lottery deserved.

Dddddd

It's precisely why I don't take their opinion that seriously. And what Doja Cat fans (pre-Doja implosion) simply didn't realise.

And the funnier thing is this does not work because these lil girls they bandwagon are largely putting out (or trying to) hip-hop records. Remember the Nicki/BIA stans? :deadbanana:what's BIA upto today?

Ice's songs - to be clear there are like 7 :bibliahh:- are buoyed by either the collab, or the genre. So the bandwagoning is so funny to me.

Yeah they are out of their depth discussing hip hop. I don’t even mind Icy Spicy. She’s fine. Not talented (at all) and mostly stanned because of her looks… But she’s fine.

it’s just laughable to see her career compared to Meg or Cardi who have consolidated ground-breaking female hip-hop careers when people only know Ice Spice for “that boy is a cap, grah”.

I never paid attention to BIA but it would be surprising if Ice Spice can beat the no-hit-wonder allegations after collaborating with Nicki twice. Her “stans” will drop her like they dropped BIA, Coy Laroy, etc.

!!!

And it's not even a drag because the opposite also holds, and the difference is Cardi/Meg know it: these two DON'T do pop-rap as much as they could be, and it is clear they selectively engage in which artist they want to do that with. Cardi can still get a few pop-rap smashes (but unsurprisingly, they do not fare as strongly with some exceptions).

I hate to bring up the Doja Kat lady but her stans used to be in every thread running up the " most streamed song by a female rapper" narrative and the song in question would be...Kiss Me More :deadbanana4: But even then Doja is undoubtedly versatile and has talent, so for a Say So she could still deliver a verse like Handstand. Not exceptional, but pretty solid.

Ice's "hits" are what. Boy's a Liar, and Karma remix :deadbanana:I actually like PDR a bit, but Nicki carried that.

I anticipate smash after smash & her next album to open with 500K.

Ended Onika. My once idol turned rival. 😢
