I think that’s accurate to say. I’m definitely not proud of being an American.

I mean, until this country gets its **** together, there’s not much to be proud of. Little things here and there, but for the most part…..

I mean, if the options were Biden or Trump, I wouldn't be proud either! :cm:

I get that there’s shitty things in the US but I bet 99% of people who answered no wouldn’t move. :skull:

my biggest complaint is our joke government doing nothing about guns. 8 years of Obama and 4 of Biden for what… both parties can choke.

Wow, I am shocked by this. A demographic that is being ****** over by their country is not proud of their country. :sherlock:

That is why it is important these people get out and vote. They have the ability to take control of virtually every position of power, but they need to want it.

People often claim the US is "too big" to ever have highspeed rails, but this image comparing the two country's sizes puts into perspective how stupid that argument is.

We could do it. We just do not want to because we would rather people be dependent on cars.

I want to be proud but it's hard when a certain party is actively trying to make our lives worse.

I personally say I’m proud to be American just because I don’t like the idea of conservatives and neoliberals alike getting to determine whether or not I can be proud of where I’m from. The US is my home, where all my loved ones are and where I have many good memories. There are so many issues that need to be tackled, but I refuse to let the evils in this country take away my home from me. Straight, white, rich, men, etc. don’t get to be the only ones that can say they’re proud of their home, even if both those phrases have completely different meanings for us being a gay, latino guy.

That being said, this isn’t surprising at all. This country spits in the face of young people all the time, both democrats and republicans. It’s hard to be proud of something that hates you.

Older generation dealt the young generation a rather disappointing hand so I'm not surprised by this at all.

The older generation is also clinging onto their wealth and power in politics, the general economy and the workforce for dear life even if they're just bones at this point.

Why would you be proud about something you can't control or wasnt up to your choice: where you born

Patriotism is such an stupid and outdated concept
