RobynYoBank Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) SoFi is the premiere stadium in the US right now. It's brand new, gorgeous, and cost like 3x as much money to build as any other stadium. I actually think AT&T Stadium in Dallas is probably the second nicest stadium in the US. Steve Johnson Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 SoFi easily. Taylor playing 6 shows in SoFi next month

Yeah AT&T is gorgeous. what a marvel to be inside of
slik Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Sofi is the nicest stadium in the U.S. After that it's probably Allegiant Stadium in Vegas followed by AT&T Stadium in Dallas and then probably U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. I'm not sure Met Life is honestly even a top 5 stadium.
Feanor Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 SoFi is the shiny new, state of the art stadium so that one. And Taylor picked it as the finale of her US leg with 6 (!!!!!!) shows, so that alone elevates it as the stadium of the US as well, in addition to all the other stuff.

Ms. Togekiss Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 SoFi is the IT stadium right now. MetLife is iconic and legendary but it got overshadowed after SoFi opened tbh
byzantium Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I would say neither. I think the rose bowl is a more iconic concert venue. MetLife is outside the city in a swamp and Sofi, is too new.

I know you're always bothered by Taylor for a reason but let's put our thinking caps on. Taylor deciding to end her tour at SoFi and doubling the amount of shows she's doing there compared to MetLife is indeed an example of the fact that SoFi is more iconic/a more important stadium. Why would Swifties not point it out...? They're using a tangible example to respond to the OP. Like... 1 1
Blue Rose Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 SoFi is not iconic just because your fave is performing there It’s just new. The Rose Bowl is still more iconic than all of them. Yankees stadium probably second.
Elusive Chanteuse Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Neither of these are really iconic like Madison Square Garden. Sofi despite being from NYC because it looks so new and advanced.
Mirtilo Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Neither lol. Iconic venues would be Rose Bowl, Carnegie Hall, Wembley Stadium, Stade de France, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall... 3

No one relevant has had a show at Rose Bowl since 2019 and only Coldplay are scheduled to perform there only cause they couldn't do SoFi. It's very much done so and relegated to the go to venue for artists that can't sell out SoFi (and even then, they just might do Levi Stadium instead). Yankee Stadium is even more so left in the shadows for nearly a decade now and was never an "iconic" venue for concerts. SoFi, Allegiant, MetLife, Mercedes-Benz, AT&T and Gillette are clearly the US stadiums artists rush to book since 2020, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. In 2023 SoFi has been the home for stadium shows for acts from tons of genres, latin pop (Romeo Santos, Grupo Firme), rock (Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel), rap (Playboi Carti, Travis, Future and Lil Wayne), Kpop (TWICE), etc. and still has tons of huge shows from Taylor (most likely will end up becoming the biggest single boxscore reported ever for any venue), Bey, Metallica, P!nk and Ed Sheeran. It wins easily for this year. Edited July 24, 2023 by Popboi.
Heartbreak Prince Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 The iconic US leg of The Eras Tour concludes with 6(!) dates at The SoFi Stadium, so it’s that by default.

Bad Bunny's finale of his 2022 US tour was at SoFi, The Weeknd concluded his US leg there as well with three shows when no other city even got a second show & he also filmed his tour movie there, BTS picked SoFi for their first ever live concert post-pandemic, it was also the only stadium with multiple dates for The Rolling Stones' 2021 US leg and even for Beyoncé herself, SoFi is one of only two stops at her US leg with three shows. Taylor is just on top of the list of other artists treating SoFi Stadium/LA as a special stop at their concert tours and all of this is from just the last 2 years. Many more will join these names in the years to come. Edited July 24, 2023 by Feanor

Once again commercial success doesn’t make anything iconic or legendary. Same with the Metlife stadium, it might be getting more shows than City Field but that will remain more iconic than Metlife in New York.
chosensparkles Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 MetLife is HUGE like in terms of weight it holds SoFi is def the new shiny one I also agree AT&T looks amazing in terms of iconic cultural impact, you can't forget about Dodger Stadium, THE Elton concert was there
