She probably really mad her album is being shelved and now is forced to record a new album to save face by the label. She clearly taking it out on Her fans for not supporting attention and probably  the original concept for the album.

This is such a dumb move, even if you don’t love your fans you should never say that  :skull:

Artists like Beyoncé, Gaga,Taylor, Nicki, Mariah, etc would not have the careers and longevity they do if they said this.

She won’t have a long career of this is how she treats her fans

Wait I thought her album was completely done and already turned in? If that's the case (if they forced her to record new songs) that really might be the reason why omg

Yea Doja just needs to keep it cute moving forward. Any sane person knows these celebs don’t love us.. they don’t know us lmao. Idk why it’s so hard for her to just be fake and say “ily2” or something lmao.

can I say something... she is right. twitter stans especially develop these really weird parasocial relationships with artists where they feel they deserve their attention. the user tweeting at her here really was out of touch and weird as hell. she doesn't know her fans. and while its normalized for artists to say "I love you" to their fans, I appreciate her calling out that that is kind of odd.

that being said, her behavior is all over the place and her blocking victims of her boyfriends grooming is enough for me to never care for her again <3

Maybe she should word it differently but I think I understand where she’s coming from. Stop obsessing  over people you don’t know, just listen to their work, appreciate it and stfu. More and more celebs will be acting like this in the near future, in the age of mental health awareness, there’s no space for the sick celebrity stanculture as if these people owe you anything

She is right but some things are better left unsaid

People have been stanning for decades since Elvis, Beatles, MJ. There has always been and always will be that kind of “unhealthy” attachment fans have to their faves

If you’re an indie artist then fine be honest but if you’re a popstar/rapper looking for success then don’t be surprised when saying this causes many fans to jump ship to someone who actually does or pretends to care about their fans

If she doesn't like stan culture and doesn't want to be a part of it, then, like, log out...

It seems like Doja Rat can't be quiet hmm?

The last fan sounded entitled, but Doja doesn't make it better for herself. She doesn't have to 'love' her fans, it's understandable, but showing gratitude is the least she can do, and yet she isn't doing it. Fans are the ones who keep your career afloat in the long run when no amount of payola can save you. She's gonna be forgotten in a few years

Her personality is the pits :skull: and it’s starting to reflect in her music with the try-hard “Attention”. This era is shaping up to be an all around bomb

I think her manager posted a photo from the studio shortly after she announced the album is done while dropping Attention. Also she kinda changed her narrative and started saying how the album have some pop moments and it’s not just all arts and she teased that Gun song which is 100% Planet Her era

Imagine coming for the sweetest Rap girl in the game who literally mind her business 9 times out of 10.

It’s not that she’s not right, it’s that it’s her.

We all know parasocial relationships are dumb and too many people are chronically online. She is one of those people.

Good, sounds like Doja Cat has a healthy regard for her fans. She creates art and music, people consume and enjoy her art and music. She doesn't need to "love" them. :toofunny2: Does a mechanic "love" everyone who comes in for a warrant of fitness? Does a dentist love every patient who splays out their mangled fangs?

Y'all bought into the marketing tew much. :toofunny3: "Taylor loves me so I will buy the same vinyl 5 times!" nonsense.

I don't love anyone I don't know either. Fanbases are so weird these days.
