Biggie Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Sitting by choice could be considered lazy. 1) The body is made to support the knees in the form of standing. 2) Most need a horizontal position to initiate sleep. 3) By sitting, you are submitting the chairs to the wrath of your butt pressing against the seat, and thus the following people who'd be sitting in that seat prior to the sit-down-air. Where and why did this squished butt position come into play? Could it be generations before us needing special privelage? Do we blame designers for inventing chairs? Edited July 23, 2023 by Biggie

Mr. Mendes Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Because our bodies don't have the ability to continuously exert energy to stand without taking a rest 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I love laying on by stomach or back after a long day of work
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 If you’re not walking you’re not going to lay down horizontally from being in standing position. You can also sit and ride on the backs of animals. Chairs are not needed!
Sheep Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 We didn't evolve to have thick asses just because it looks nice 1

Does no one think about sitting in a public area and who was just there warming up your spot?

I would say most people don't think about that no. The exchange of germs between a public seat and your clothed body is minimal. You probably come into contact with more germs and bacteria opening the door to a restaurant or other building than you do sitting down on a public chair.

But people are literally casually eating ass with people they just met seconds/minutes/hours before so I don't think they are worried about this. 1
