Stubhub: Taylor’s their best selling artist ever, outselling Beyonce 17 times

StubHub spokesperson Adam Budelli said the demand for Taylor Swift concert tickets is unprecedented with overall ticket sales tracking to be the best-selling of any artist they've seen.

"This is something that's unprecedented in StubHub and maybe our actually biggest tour that we've ever seen in the history of StubHub of over 20-plus years," Budelli said.

"Another big conversation and excitement this summer was certainly the Beyonce tour and even just comparing Taylor Swift to Beyonce this summer, Taylor Swift is outselling the Beyonce tour by 17 times (on StubHub)," Budelli said. "So certainly, this is on a magnitude of itself, certainly reflecting what we're seeing on the prices and just overall visits, demand, ticket sales across the country."

Giving the inflated ticket prices they were selling, Stubhub (and scalpers) kinda won at the end huh.

What is even more cool is that the demand is more like 26-32x but Beyonce's tickets are ultra cheap while the cheapest Taylor tickets start at $1000. The restricted section seats at eras costs more than the best seats closer to the stage at Renn.

Well if you use dynamic pricing like Beyonce and Blackpink do, your tour gross can be maximized based on demand.

I have a challenge for the media and stans alike: stop using the Eras tour to diminish the success of the Renaissance tour challenge. Or any other tour, for that matter. It's annoying. Celebrate the Eras tour success without bringing down others to do so. Eras tour eclipses them all, we get it.

To be fair,  Beyonce using dynamic pricing basically allows her to scalp her own shows and cut out stubhub. Unfortunately, Taylor is less capitalistic to Beyonce and allowed tickets to sell out far below their true market price. 

 

If Taylor  had use dynamic pricing, there would be riots about how high the prices would be.

Not surprising. I can still buy tickets at face value for most Beyonce shows without any issue. For Taylor it's impossible, I have to pay 10x for a resale given how much demand she has.
